We had interview 8august. Co gave us pink paper for additional documents. Marriage certificate was expired, also police certificate. We collect and submit them all at the same day. Aproximately 2 weeks later they told us that we need also F2B retention latter, but our lawyer lost it and we didn’t send it and our status automatical changed from F2B to F1.

My question is we must wait on F1 row right? If so when our date will be current they give us the visa or after that there is additional procedures?

Is there a chance of denial?

After the interview the co asked to submit our passports with documents. They didn’t return our passports. I think it’s good sign, right?

What is the Lawyer doing to rectify losing the letter?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

She have a check of payment this means that she paid something for that, but it isn’t enough. She said that she can’t do anything we must wait. That’s all. Is there any way to do anything?

Rather depends what she paid for, did not know there was a fee for this.

Sounds like you need a new lawyer.

There is no fee to retain F2B classification...just contacting NVC. If any fee was paid, it would have been for their services of making the request (or shipping costs for a letter?), not anything with NVC. Sounds like your lawyer lost the document and they charged you for it.

I would suggest contacting NVC to see if they can resend the letter.

Why is there a Marriage Certificate? Beneficiaries for F1 F2b are supposed to be UNMARRIED.

I think the lawyer can request a copy of the first opt out explaining about the lost copy. NVC doesn't charge for it.

Waiting on F1...

You already answered your question. Beneficiaries F1 and F2b must be unmarried and that’s why they request the proof.

When you take Marriage certificate there is 1 year expiration time and we took it last june and interview was on august. Maybe consul though that I’m married or something ... I don’t know all these process is veryyy veeeery boring😞😞😞
