Just a FYI if anybody has been working on their I-751 the last few weeks and didn't notice this change.  I was just about to send it to California but I wanted to double check a few things.  I looked at the USCIS website and noticed the alert.  I now have to send mine to Arizona.  A lot of the how-to's and example documents I found online still have the old locations, so be sure to double check the "Where to file" location from the USCIS website before sending yours.  I'm hoping this change speeds up some of the processing times :)

On Sept. 10th 2018, USCIS changed the filing location for Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. This form was previously filed at the California and Vermont Service Centers. Now, petitioners must send Form I-751 to a USCIS Lockbox facility. However, the California, Nebraska, Vermont, and Texas Service Centers will be the adjudicating offices. When filing at a Lockbox facility, petitioners have the option to pay the fee with a money order, personal check, cashier’s check, or credit card. Please follow the Where to File and Filing Fee directions on the I-751 webpage.

So we now have to send our i-751 to a lockbox? Does that mean we can use the G-1145 for the ROC application too then? That would be great.

What's lockbox? Lockbox has any special meaning for USCIS?

Yep, it's a place where you send your application and then the people working at the lockbox facility sends your application to whatever service center it needs to be at.

Up until now i-751 applications have been sent straight to service centers, no lockboxes. Only applications that are sent to lockboxes (such as the i-129f, i-485 etc) can use the g-1145 so you receive texts and emails when your application has been entered into their system.

I wish I would have seen this post earlier. I prepared my file in september and put the California address on it. Had to wait until later in October to file it as I was traveling and didn't want to miss the biometrics appointment. I didn't double check the address, just didn't think of that, so filed my application i751 the 22nd of October to the wrong address! They have not cashed the check yet. They might return the whole thing to me or it might be accepted still, who knows.

I am now within a few days of the expiry date on my gc. I have called USCIS twice but they don't know whether or not the application will be sent through to the right center. I have prepared another application that I can send out today so it would get there in time but that might be confusing. One of the representatives at USCIS said I should wait until the 26th of november, which would be the 30 day window for rejection, to see if they return it to me, and that I could then send it to the right address. I am concerned about sending it in in time though...

I have similar situation where my lawyer sent my I-751 straight to Vermont without looking to see if there were changes to USCIS policy about where to send the form.  My I-751 was suppose to go to Lewisville, Texas. This happened on March 13, 2019 and I have yet to receive a receipt for the form or if it got denied and sent back to myself or my lawyer. If your form got rerouted how long did it take for you to receive a receipt?

Since the addresses were changed last summer I think your lawyer did a bad job :(

you can see in my signature when I did what and how long it took to get my NOA. They certainly didn’t send a receipt without more work on my side! But as soon as they cash your check you know they have accepted your file. So check if they did that and put in a service request to get a NOA, they should send you one within 10 days I think but they have a lot of work to catch up on and a lot of people who filed in October 2018 like I did had to wait a long time to get theirs. Good luck.

I have a question, how do you know if it is a lockbox facility?

According to the USCIS site, I have to file my I-751 at:

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

USCIS
P.O. BOX 660480
Dallas, TX 75266

For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:

USCIS
Attn: I-751
2501 S State Hwy 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

But it doesn't say anything about a lock box, I want to send n the credit card form but I want to be sure first so that it doesnt get rejected.

Thanks

Thanks. It turns out that the addresses are the same and it is indeed a lockbox location.

I was simply providing USCIS proof of lockboxes facilities to the OP. OP already had those addresses and wanted to confirm if they were lockboxes.
