What was the RFE for?   I too got a RFE unfortunately I am still waiting for the letter

After how many days do they approve  the case  once we send them the required additional evidence

My RFE was for more evidence of bonafide marriage. I believe the RFE they received was for another marriage cert or something similar. After they receive the response. They usually approve within 2 weeks. You should receive the letter within a week.

Congrats guys!!! I am still waiting for case number from NVC. They received my petition last week and yesterday they told me they are scanning all documents into system and I should get case number within a week or two. Make sure to call them every week and give your receipt number, they can give you info with this number until case number is Assigned!!  Good luck guys, let’s hope things go by quickly!! Nothing will compare to the horrible 1 year petition processing!!

Thanks! I’ve been trying to call them for how many days but I couldn’t get hold of them. I’m still waiting for my nvc case number it’s been 3 weeks since I received the noa2.

Call them first thing in the morning. That’s when i get through every time. I’m on hold for about 45 minutes. But I get a live person each time.

Yay! Congrats! I had a hunch it would be about 2 weeks after submitting RFE response! My approval was 8/1. And I have not received case number from NVC yet. They did receive my petition approval on 8/16. But they say it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to assign case number. I call twice a week.

Thanks for responding to my question. I hope all the next steps in the visa journey go smooth for you and for every body.

Hi everyone, I have a question on the I-130 form. The part where it says ''Provide the address in the United States where the beneficiary intends to live''. My husband (Beneficiary) never been in USA before. I am a student and I never own a house/Unit on my own name. I always lived in a rented private rooms. For that reason, I am little confused about what address to put in that part. Can someone please help me with that. Thank you so much!

Just case tracked. I was able to check it August 31. I kept refreshing the page to really verify. Me and my kids got approved August 30.  We didn't call them anymore. My husband aslo forgot to register his email. But we will call USCIS Monday.

How long you waited that your case status from USCIS turn to DOS?

NVC already has my petition as of 8/16, but my case status on uscis still says “case approved.”

How long did you wait before calling them? We're only at 10 days since approval, but I've seen that Texas has been screwing up sending some cases and I'm very anxious to know that ours has been sent successfully!

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

I started calling 2 weeks after petition was approved. This is how I found out they received it 8/16. So at least I know it’s there. And now I call at least twice a week. Start calling now, they should tell you if they at least have it.
