This late you now must wait till you get your authorization to work card and once you have that return back to SS to refile whereupon you will be approved.

I should’ve applied then before we got married. I have known others who applied there SSN after they got married with no issue at all. And now I have to wait again.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

If you went within the first two weeks of being here and filed with your "single" name then you would have been issued a SSN. Since you waited until after marriage they will not issue a SSN till your work authorization or GC is issued. You have 90 days to apply, but if you are less then 14 days away from the 90 day end date you cannot apply. I am assuming you were outside the limits.

My I-94 will expire on March 11. Now i filled up I-765 authorizing USCIS to get SSN on my behalf. I am just praying they will send it together with my Combo card.🙏

I have a question regarding the barcodes. Is it really necessary to have it? When i printed the form, it didn’t include the barcode. We all hand written our forms. I’m getting curious which one is correct before sending our AOS packet.

I need a little more information. What barcodes and on what forms?

Sorry.. its the AP. But it’s ok now. I have read in the USCIS website that they accept with or without barcode. Thanks @Greenbaum

NP. It's confusing me because I am in the K1 case filing threads and your question is geared toward the I-465 which is another thread. You may want to join it as there is no one here who is that far.  Here is the link. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/131-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

Good luck.

I know he will be approved. I won’t doubt it. Yeah I’m having hard time with the SSN.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ The only way i can do now is to authorize USCIS to get it for me. Are you going to be with him during the interview?

One reason why I keep checking this thread is because we have you @Greenbaum who tirelessly answer our questions and ease our anxiety during the hardest part of the K1 process. Now I have filed AOS and got my SSN and will be applying for driver's lisence soon but I like to check on my fellow January 2018 K1 filers and see how they're doing so far.

I joined the January 2019 AOS thread but I miss someone as helpful as @Greenbaum here. I don't know why there is no experienced member there to guide us as well as you do!
