Good day everyone, so finally my was sent to nvc and I was given a case number over a week ago. I’m just wondering how long it typically takes for nvc to send the case to the embassy? What does nvc do besides assigning a case number and forwarding to the embassy. Lastly, are there any members from Ghana who were approved in May 2018 who have had their cases already transferred to the embassy. I keep checking my email hoping to get the letter from nvc but so far I haven’t received it. Thanks everyone for your continued support.

Lately, it's taking 3-5 weeks for cases to leave the NVC.  They don't anything for K1s other than assign your case number and ship it to the embassy.

11/14/17 129F mailed

11/17/17 NOA1

05/14/18 NOA2

06/06/18 NVC received and case # assigned

06/12/18 left NVC

06/13/18 Manila Embassy received

06/13/18 CFO completed at Clark Pampanga

06/18-19/18 Medical exam

07/10/18 Interview - APPROVED!!

07/29/18 POE

I've received the case number 2 weeks ago and keep checking the ceac website and have already called them several times, and they've just told me to wait and be patient, as soon as it'll be ready it will be sent out to the embassy.

I wonder why it is taking so long. My case is still there and as a matter of fact finished talking to them and was told to just wait a couple of days and call back to check if they have any update. I hope we all hear something positive soon.

I've been waiting almost two weeks now and when I called, the guy couldn't give me a reason behind why it's taking so long. He kept saying there's a backlog for some reason but to keep an eye out for their email. This process is making me miserable.  I don't understand why it's taking weeks to send out our cases now. I check CEAC constantly, hoping to see the words "in transit" but get disappointed each time. I just wanna be with my man.

We have almost the same timeline. I tell you, this process is miserable but I have promised myself to not allow it steal my happiness. There is not much we can do anyway but just to wait. When I called today the guy I spoke with said he was going to send an email to his supervisor to find out about what is going on with my case. I will keep you updated.

I got a letter from the NVC this morning. Does this mean that it's now in-transit or that they have received my case? What would my next steps be?

Are you checking your NVC case # on the CEAC status site? It should say the exact status of your case if you check that and so far it's been VERY accurate for me in terms of updating when people "touch" it. The date has updated for leaving NVC, arriving at the consulate, sending packet 3 and sending packet 4. Definitely use that website to keep on eye on things if you arent already...

I checked it once, and it said that my case is ready at the embassy, but I haven't been able to check it since then. It keeps saying invalid number, but I think I'm putting in the same number I did before? I've got a case number from the NVC letter and then the WAC number, but neither of them are working to let me sign in. I don't know why. Am I using the wrong number?

Are you choosing Immigrant or Nonimmigrant visa type?

You're right, we just have to wait. Same with me, I don't want this process to suck the life out of me. I know we'll be together at the end of all of this. Hoping for a positive response soon. And Yes, please keep me posted. I would really appreciate that! ❤
