Declaration of how we met in person

On the visa guides, it states that you need a "declaration of how we met in person" (a single separate page-typed) to attach in response to #18. Does anyone have an example of their declaration that they could share with me? Or do I just type a paragraph stating that we met in X city or country and spent X number of days together?

Make it simple and in your own words. Our's was just a simple paragraph stating where we met, when we met, why I was there, and that it all progressed from there.

Ours was very simple as well. We just put that we met online in March, 2003, and met in person in Vancouver, B.C. on April 28, 2003. I mentioned that we had dinner with friends of mine and breakfast the next day with my daughter. I ended up by saying that after dating for some months, we decided to make our relationship permanent and were applying for the K-1 Visa.

They are only interested in dates, places, and what the circumstances were.

We wrote a paragraph aswell with dates and places formed into a little story. nothing too lovey dovey just correct info. i will email you the first draft.

Our was about two or three sentences saying a) how and where we met online b ) how, when, and where we met in person, and c) that we had numerous visits until we got engaged on such and such a date.

I followed this with a list of our meetings that corresponded to the evidence we had.

Our approach was to write it the way we would tell our friends/family the quick story. You probably have repeated your story a few times by now - write that.

I put that we met online through a mutual friend. Then I kind of made a timeline. Put all the dates in the last 2 years that we've seen each other, then put where we were during those times. Like for example June 2006 we went to Myrtle Beach together.

i made mine a bit longer (almost 2 pages) I got a little more sentimmental about it too. In retrospect, this was not necessary or gave me any extra advantage. It did however convey the needed information, circumstance, dates, etc. But it probably just ended up being lunchtime conversation fodder. (a little embarrassing). If I had to do it again, I would stick with the short but sweet declaration.

I wrote about how we met initially and our first in- person meeting. It was about three paragraphs in total.

I left out all of the lovey dovey stuff and stuck to the facts.

We met on [date] at a party in Brazil, lived together, I returned 2x [dates], etc.

It was 3-4 paragraphs.
