Nope, just stuck in “your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” limbo since October 2017. I’m the original poster of this thread.

Did you move?

Lol no. 😂 just here to just talk about waiting again.

I mean if you have a family and career here- moving JUST for GC is like dumb
I can't even with USCIS.
I really hope the November elections make a difference- a change really is needed in Houston

Filed in Houston, beginning of April 2016.

Change of address to San Antonio about 6 months to a year later. Case stuck in Houston, did not move.

Have gone through 2 and now through the 3rd EAD

1 info pass, complete waste of time.

2 case file outside processing time, each time, standard response, pending required security check.

So yes, been waiting since 1st April 2016.

Which visa are you adjusting from?

Sheila & Christian had one of the latest filing dates (April 15, 2017) to be interviewed before they stopped processing new applications in Houston.

They had I-129F petition though. Would that matter?

I am curious whether the visa type matters. At least it matters whether the visa type was family-based or employment-based, because USCIS seems to prioritize adjustment of status from employment-based visas. The I-129F petition for K1 Visa is family-based. I had the same visa type as Sheila & Christian..

I am adjusting from K1. I am still trying to figure out how to respond to specific comments...if any of you don't mind giving me  brief overview.

Are you talking about responding to something here on VJ?
If you want to reply to someone/something specific like I have to your message, there's a button under every post called "QUOTE"

Once you click on that, then you reply to someone/something directly instead of posting your own entirely

MOST of us on this forum that are adjusting are adjusting from a K1 Visa, i.e. I-129F
And when we keep saying Houston stopped processing applications, we are saying in the world of I-129Fs

@Visitor User, what are you adjusting from?

Hello. It looks like USCIS sent my EAD to the wrong address. It went to a P.O. Box XXXX at a local postal office. I do not have any P.O. Box and the address on file is correct for USCIS to send it to the correct mailing address. I went to USPS but they told me to contact the sender.

USPS Tracking # was given by USCIS.

Do online USPS lost mall inquiry? I do have  the P.O. Box # where it was sent to.

Will I be able to request USCIS to re-send another EAD today?

USCIS mailed on 8/13/18.

Houston has NOTHING to do with EAD
That's all at NBC. Everyone gets processed at NBC. The line is just long right now for EAD

Hi everybody... we are AoS from K1 in Houston

Filled early December 2017 according to the tracking apps March 16 says ready to be scheduled for interview but has many of you know we haven't received any updates... mid September have to apply for renew EAD. which according the USCIS page it will be automatically extended for 6 moths after the expiration date of the current EAD if you apply on the 180 days window prior expiration. they also explain to your employeer has to ammend the form.

Went to an Info Pass in like March they say all ok but there is a line of ppl waiting for interviews etc etc etc...

Another this the klerk says they are busy because they are a port of entry and many companies also are in Houston... but just have a look at the illegal inmigrants crossing the border and how they are treated. I guess that is kind of high profile and that may divert the reources of USCIS at Houston office and the (few) presonnel working there will be doing that (which is overloaded) instead of normal cases

just our guess
