N400 interview looming LOST PREVIOUS PASSPORT!!

Ok so I am pulling my hair out. I have my current UK passport. I have the envelope it came in and everything else relating to it in a drawer but I cannot find my previous passport   ( I just got a change of name passport from UK)

I am desperately hoping I find it in time but what happens if I can’t? Is this going to ruin my interview? 🙁🙁

You will immediately be placed in removal proceedings.  Not.  Just relax.

My heart seriously nearly stopped for a moment. 😆😵

So if I cannot find it and just explain that (after all they can check all my comings and goings both from my application and form checks)  will it not be an issue?  I’m just concerned I guess that they will not approve until they see it. Am I overthinking?!!!!

I had but one passport of mine to show at my interview, though I did have my wife's old passport with me as well...

In my case, the old passport had been taken from me by the consulate on renewal, so it was a clear cut case of why I did not have it, and the consulate appears to take it occasionally, but not always...  No issue at the interview, and I can't recall if they asked to see her old one...

To be totally honest I can not even remember if they returned my old passport.... I’m just assuming they did.  Thanks for replying. 😊

If it is lost in the house, then it is time to turn over and ransack everything, so thoroughly that by the time you locate the offending passport, your house looks like Michael Cohen's room after it had been raided by the FBI.

😂😂😂 it’s already pretty damn close to that. I am now even doubting my initial ransack so ransacking the ransacked areas....

They already know when you've been out of the country.  I don't think your old passport should matter at all.

Did you get something requesting the old passport? I interviewed for citizenship with only my current passport.

Why do you think you need it?

You can get your I-94 history online if looking for proof of entry (https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/)

Just wanted to say thanks and update that I found the elusive passport - of course now I won't be asked for it at the interview but at least I can take it along and know I am fully prepared.

:)  Now to put the house back into some semblance of order...............
