I have read where other members have traveled with extension letter and I-155 stamp in their passport without any issues.

Agreed - traveling to home country is easy. But traveling to country where you need visa - makes it hard obtaining visa. I've upcoming trip to India via Singapore, I wanted to stopover to enjoy Singapore for one day - but looks like there is no solid answer if i'll qualify for 96-hours visa on arrival due to temporary documents.

N-400 Application Timeline :

Application sent via mail - April 15th  (Field office Dallas, TX)

NOA Receipt date - April 17th

Biometrics receipt - April 22th (appointment scheduled for May 14th)

Biometrics completed - May 7th (Early Walk-in)

Biometrics completed - May 7th (Early Walk-in)

Interview scheduled notification - November 12th (via email - waiting to receive letter in mail for actual Interview date)

Interview completed & Case approved - November 17th

Naturalization Ceremony (in January 2020 - waiting on notice)

We aren't allowed to use the google doc anymore - there's been many posts about this!  Please stop posting links before they deactivate the thread as they have mentioned in all of the posts about not utilizing google docs for security reasons.

Also received the 18 month extension letter today (VSC) :)

I received mine too however mine was the copy and not the official notice. I did not use a lawyer. Did you receive the original one?

Has anyone traveled to Mexico, not on a cruise, with the expired GC and extension letter? The wife and I have a trip planned to Cozumel in a couple of weeks and I recently saw a thread on VJ that the Mexican immigration will not accept the extension letter and might deny entry into Mexico.

I'm specifically asking about entry into Mexico, not returning to the U.S.

They can't deny you entry to a country based on the extension letter. As long as you have a valid passport and Indonesians don't require visas for Mexico then there shouldn't be an issue.
