I feel you too. They have made it harder for people and they are enjoying it. But karma wins in the end. If your emergency Ap has been approved then for how long was it. And when did you get it approved...what is your local field office?? My local field office is a joke. Infopass is a joke. I went there two weeks ago and the officer said it will get rejected. It goes through chain of approvals and most probably it will get rejected. I have opened up SR, expedite, inquiries, contacted senator, contacted ombudsman but all in vain. I’ve an emergency and need to go and it is just getting painful. I’m planning to go again next week for infopass. But have very very low hope on local field office.

What??? :( That’s so sad!! Getting emergency AP was actually really easy for me. Both times I walked into my local office (Detroit) explained/told the receptionist “I need an emergency appointment”

I then saw the officer and explained my situation. In April my Gran passed away and in September my uncle passed.

Both times I had straight forward, easy experiences. I walked out with AP documents in hand the same day. Emergency AP allows you to leave for 30 days from the day it is issued.

If you don’t mind my asking - what is the urgency for you to go home??? Where is your local field office??

We filed in April.  I got my EAD/AP card in September.  We moved from PA to TX in November (this month).  I filled out the address change form online for my I-485.  Did I also need to don't his for I-130?  There was no option to do so...

Also, what happens to the priority date now that we've moved to another state?

For us...I filled everything on the 24th of April, received an RFE in July and was able to respond back to them. Now my cases is still received and I'm still waiting for my EAD. I'm now outside the normal processing times, so recently I submitted an inquiry in my case. They said that the'll get back to me, so let's hope so.

Any update for you? I am also April filer for my EAd renewal. I am about to hit the 7 month mark next week and will need to stop working. Any idea what’s taking so long?

Yes the proof of evidence is the priority requirement for emergency advance parole.

Air tickets? Nooooo!!! You need approval before you can book flights!

Of course they asked for proof. I took birth certificates, death certificate etc! You have to build a good case! I would reccomend it, yes.

Great thanks for the info. I’ve heard that from different filers who went in for emergency AP. They took iternary with them which shows more proof and strong evidence or you can say will to travel. But your comment is very helpful to me it gives me more visibility on what to do.

Is there anyone from Minneapolis/St-Paul on here? Have you received any interview dates? I got my status updated to "ready to schedule for interview" in September but have NOT received any notices. Should I be worried? Looking at the estimates, it's most disheartening. The St Paul dates seem to be in April 2016 :(.

We aren't with that office, but we have been at "Ready To Be Scheduled" since the middle of May. No movement :( We got so excited when we saw that, especially because it happened so quickly within one month of us filing the forms, but grew disappointed to find out it means nothing and can sit there for a long time :(

Yes, my husband's an MSP filer - we filed in March and had our case marked ready in August.  Estimates seem to be pretty spot on in terms of how long it's taking people...I'd suggest heading over to the MSP filers forum.
