Thank you! Portland, OR is our local office and about a 3 hour drive (depending on snow) over the mountain. My extension letter will "expire" November 6th.

Hoping for some action too! Thank you!

Try checking available info pass appointments early morning, like around 6am. Worked out for me twice.

Goodluck!

After waiting for almost two years now ( applied for I 751 with my husband in October 2016 ) I FINALLY received my approval notice in the mail today.

No updates on the website tho. I can't believe how long it takes nowadays. I actually thought I will get an RFE or Interview after not hearing from them for so long. Good for me tho.

They are supposedly mailing out 18 month extension letters to everyone with a pending application but the execution seems rather spotty. Some have received the letter, others (like my wife) have not. The passport stamp was easy to get for my wife. I guess it all depends on how easy it is to get an infopass appointment at your local office and how far it is from you.

Hopefully you get action by Christmas. 😀

My husband and I just went on Monday and got the passport stamp in my passport.  It was easy, just brought id's, passports extension letter with case numbers etc,  They verified this information, stamped and signed my passport, extending my conditional green card for another year.  THEN, I received the 18 month extension letter  yesterday ~ ha!  :P   While I was my local office, I asked about the "Your case was transferred to you local office" notification that many have gotten, myself included.  The agent said he's not sure why people are getting that notice.  He said "We don't make green cards here."  He didn't seem to think it was an indication of anything. (Sorry guys)  We also discussed the current wait times being 18-21 months, so the 18 month letter may or may not cover the extension, especially for filers at the California office.  Therefore, I'm glad I went BEFORE I received the extension letter.

oh really he can? i thought he need it the stamp 551

If the extension letter is still valid, or he has the new 18 month extension letter, he can travel.

If the extension letter has also expired, then he needs the stamp.
