Recieved rejection notice for i-485.

Received a rejection notice for i-485/I-131.

I do not understand what they want. Please help.

We are trying to do AOS from a K1.

If you have a copy of the entire packet, get it and review it. Perhaps you mischecked information on the I-485?

 

What amount of money did you send for it? While the rejection states about the apparent eligibility and such payment could be a reason...

Based on the rejection notice, it seems you did not submit  a copy of the approval notice of i129F. Did you include that?

they sent it all back, I don't see anything wrong.

Yes we did.

It was even in the package they sent back to us.

Obviously something was missing in the packet.. I would get it back, review everything and simply resend it. Could have been a mistake on their part honestly. It's hard to say when they don't specifically tell you "Hey, you're missing this document".

The rejection notice says “the PD could not be established” and asks for documents for that. That means they did not see your i129f approval notice. It’s USCIS and anything can happen. 

 

I suggest you send your package package back with their rejection notice and a cover letter specifally mentioning to see the attched I-797: approval notice of K1 petition. May be put the approval notice right behind the cover letter.

 

you might also wanna double check the entire package just to see if the rest are good.

Yes I have checked it 3 times. the approval notice is there, they even stapled it to my passport copy and there is a number at the bottom and some ballpoint pen line written on it. Attaching a pdf...

I did notice it is expired, is this a problem?

Maybe you forgot to sign it, it’s also one of reason to reject. Are they going to send back the payment also??

the expiry on the approval notice is meaningless after you get k1 visa.

Did you submit your i94 arrival/departure record and copy of k1 visa?

It is signed. they sent back the cashiers check also.
