My turn has come!  I received a notification at 5.30pm CST yesterday that my card is in production and approved. It was such a relief to see the notification come in. I received a text first, then an

Got my (second?!) 18-month extension letter today, dated 8/18. CSC. It was basically identical to the one I got in June.

I saw someone in a I-751 Facebook group comment on the fact that their letter was white versus green and indicated something along the lines that a green letter is the "original" and a white letter is a "copy." Does anyone know anything about this? My original 12 month letter was green and my extension letter was white.

 

They went on to say that their attorney receives the green and they received the "copy"/white version and was worried about her upcoming travel without the "original" document. Is this just internet paranoia I can ignore? I didn't use an attorney and received a green letter.

Double check you 18 month extension letter. It's most probably just a notice stating that the "official" 18 month letter is being mailed. At the very top does it say "this notice does not grant and immigration status or benefit"?

In the meantime in 68 days I will be eligible to send in N400 since the earliest I can file is November 4th. Most people on here have very similar time frame.

So that’s why I’m excited - pretty much I know I will just go straight for naturalization application and have  2 pending at the same time.

Double check your extension letter to make sure its the actual letter and now just the courtesy letter saying they're behind and in the process of sending them out.

 

Turns out I only got the courtesy letter.

I don't have your biometrics appointment or a letter of reusing them listed, can you confirm the date of that so I can update the table?

Do you have a screenshot of this courtesy letter? I double checked mine, a section of it is below, and looks like it is the real thing and reads official. I am curious how the courtesy letter is different and if this may bring awareness to others who assume what they have received is the official notice.

I'll take a picture of it when I get home tonight but basically in the first or second sentence it states that it is a courtesy letter. If I remember correctly it even states that you can't travel on it. I'm wondering if I'm going to receive an actual letter and when that might be...
