Going to be filing here soon, not overly stressed as I know I can still work as long as I have the paperwork saying I've filed. I hate doing paperwork and that part is done and in an envelope. Just have to go mail it after we file our taxes. I am not front loading as last time they didn't even look at half of it and if they want it they will ask.

Thanks for sharing that. A 3-month delay isn't so bad, I suppose. Although those folks have been waiting for an additional five months than us which might put us as far out as another 8 months. I'd rather not speculate, especially on just one person's experience, but I hate that USCIS doesn't set better expectations on what a transfer does to timeline. Hope to see a trend reveal itself soon.

I did pose this question in the January 2018 filers thread. Two groups trying to figure this out are better than one.

Is anyone else's case transferred to Nebraska Service Center? Their current processing time for I-751 is 16-23.5 - I hope that's not from the date it got transferred but rather from the original filing date.

Also, my notice is dated 2/5/2019.

I got the exactly same letter yesterday too. hahaha...

I think it is the same notification they keep sending to you. They have sent me repeated notifications about the same thing before and I have received 2 identical notifications about "case transferred to another office" today.

Yes, I agree with you. At first I didn't think like that but I think you are right.

Everything that’s going on is so ridiculous. My drivers license expires next month and when I went in to renew it today, they were only going to extend it for another 6 months but said I had to still pay $36 (just the DL not the Real ID). It wouldve been nice if they let us have the10 year DL so there’s at least one less thing for us to worry about 😖.

Some State DMVs run such money scam when it comes to a driver's license.  They always claim that DL can only be issued until your green card expiration date and in many of our cases, that is 18 months from GC date with an extension letter.  The presumption should be that we are allowed to stay indefinitely as a lawful permanent resident, unless I-751 petition is denied.  After all, it is just a license to drive.

Nice one! Congratulations! I've updated our tracking table to include your approval.

Anything can happen, you would just hope they would have more sense than to send a bunch of cases that were obviously close to being adjudicated to a brand new pile. But, mind you, there's no incentive for USCIS so why should they care if my case takes 18 months and the next persons takes 12? Darn frustrating, for sure!

I've seen many people have this experience, some have even reported not being able to renew their license at all. Total farce, really. I was fortunate to get a 5 year license when I renewed last year here in Houston, TX.

Hey at least you got one. I've spent more time than I care to count in the DMV and every time they promised if I came back with just one more piece of paperwork, they'd let me do my test. I'm still waiting 🙄Even had them call up to the head office in IL and still got knocked back. I've owned a car for three years that I can't drive.

This DL issue is also making me nervous about applying for new jobs since there’ll be a similar issue.

Exactly, I am starting to feel all of this is a scam and there is nothing we can do except get frustrated!

Lucky! I have no idea as to what to do right now. I don’t want to just let it expire either because then they may claim that I don’t have a reliable source that shows same address as my partner 😓

I’m sorry to hear that! I’m going to be in The same boat and may not be able to drive in a few months unless USCIS finally starts doing their work.

I have no idea! They have been doing the same since I’ve started my immigration process and this is the third time I’ll be paying for renewal in the last 4 years. What makes me mad is that this time, they are only open to extending the license for 6 months because  the GC didn’t come in yet
