What receipt number do you guys put into the USCIS website? i am trying to use the extension letter number and it only gives me an error.

right now the website shows 15.5 to 21 month for the California service center - were they affected by the forest fires?

If you are using the "old" USCIS portal then you might see a message giving an error, but the "new" DHS portal shows my history just fine. No updates since February last year mind you, but that is to be expected. Are you getting errors at the old or new portal?

So is it the consensus here that applying N400 delays I751 processing? My wife and I have discussed it, but she's ready to just apply for Naturalization and get it over with. We will see.

Yes, I was reading yesterday that a lot of approvals are flowing into the November 2017 filers which is great and is well ahead of schedule. We're all not far behind that here as February 2018 filers. I'd be willing to wait another 3 months in filing my N-400 to get the I-751 approval within that timeframe. I am seeing no evidence that filing N-400 speeds up a pending I-751 approval, only that it may get you ahead of the line in terms of waiting on N-400. But as I said earlier, while risk remains that you reset the clock on I-751 by filing N-400, I'm really reluctant to. 3 months extra waiting isn't material to me when I have a 10 year GC in my hands and the rest of my life as a US citizen. Ultimately, there's no right or wrong way and there doesn't seem to be much strategy to all this, either. Just personal preference and your tolerance for having variables in the mix.

I agree, we should be coming up next on approval, since there are a lot of November filers that are getting approved. And I've noticed that time does go by quick and after it's been almost a year since we filed, another 3 month won't make a huge difference. Might as well get the 10-year card in hand and then go from there.

I have started my N400 online and it saves the progress for 1 month since last time you logged in. So once I'll get the 10-year card in the mail I will just scan that in and hit submit.

Same here with me, waiting for the green card in hand before submitting n400.

God bless you all. 👍🏽

Still haven't filed the N-400, tax season first I guess. I'm not worried about resetting the clock, as I got the initial card very quickly and without an interview, I'm suspecting they are sending this one to the local office regardless of the N-400 so it will be somewhat reset one way or the other. The N-400 process takes about 8 months at the Norfolk office (from filing to ceremony).

Without getting overly hyped or excited, there seems to be more and more movements with the I-751s. There appears to have been 3 approval so far for the January 2018 filers. I am hoping sometime in April/May we would see some approvals for our us all or sooner!

Congratulations!

On the USCIS web, my status shows still “receipt notice” ever since Feb 2018. Nothing changed. Hopefully there is some progress for me and for other people too! :)
