Well it is an official Court of Eastern Missouri so you'd think that they ought to know better than anyone else. But it's weird the information being held on the Bankruptcy Site. Still you do things oddly on that side of the Mississippi

 

As you can see  they only hold one Ceremony a month so they'll take a while to get through.  You'd think that they know how many people they can process on the day so giving you the date of yours would be simple but apparently they only schedule one oath at a time

 

Chicago seems to do one a week. But judging by some posts in the Chicago Filers,  Eastern Illinois does one every quarter and there were some who were waiting 6 months before they got scheduled. To make matters worse they were only given notice a few weeks before the date.

 

So expect your date to suddenly come without warning and the notice to come just weeks from the Ceremony rather than months

is any one know or have experiance that how long it take to get oath after interview if approved in stl mo !?

The judge that did my oath was a bankruptcy judge, so was the one that did a friend of mine in Washington state. I thought it was odd as well.

Because it’s 30 days after they issue the notification. It’s standard even though the date they say to contact them is usually after the date of the oath ceremony.

Exactly 17 days since my wife's ROC and N400 combo interview. Just received two email updates from USCIS this morning:

1. I-751: A new card is being produced
2. N400: We scheduled your naturalization ceremony
   • Although when I check under documents, the actual oath ceremony letter has not yet been uploaded. I will update our timeline once the letter has been uploaded, or upon receiving the snail mail. 

At the rate which Chicago court houses are wrapping up ceremonies these days, my wife should be a citizen before Christmas! I don't know what we would do if it weren't for all the love and support we have received on these forums. Thank you all for sharing stories about your journey, and providing useful information along the way. For those of you still waiting, hang in there!

Congrats to all the approvals! I’m getting ready for my interview in less than 2 weeks! What does everyone think about bringing hardcopies of all the stuff I sent online. I’ve collected up all the originals of official documents (passports, marriage certificate etc) but most of the documents I sent aren’t originals any more than the uploads. For example, the tax transcripts came to me as download PDFs, not paper. Do I need to print them out?

100% recommend to bring all the original doc Specially the one you upload online or summit with application ,

 And if you don't have ur original tax papers  then go online www.irs.gov and creat ur account and select download for immigration for last 4 years 

And make print copy for that recommended 100% and bring all your original ur all passports expired and current ,marriage certificate ,green card, ur spouse US PASSPORT ALSO and some proof of ur living together(like travel together ,pic's ,family pics with spouse etc etc )

Bring the originals for every doc you sent to them plus the recent ones, your spouse marriage certificate or passport. They asked me on my interview the last 3 years taxes transcripts ( even that I had downloaded) plus a recent joint bill/insurance.( I gave a joint car insurance). Good luck!!

Hello All - My wife and I had our interview at the Holtsville, NY center yesterday. We reached there at 1.30pm and checked-in for a 1.50pm appointment for both of us. My wife was called 1st at 3.20 pm separately and I was called in 3.45pm.

The officer in-charge is a Turkish American gentleman and was very courteous and knowledgeable. We discussed various topics including my visit to his ancestral land of Turkey and his awareness of everything Indian - politics, caste, religion, economic growth. 

He asked me to take the oath of honesty in the beginning of our conversation to which i said I do. He then took my civics, English and history test

1. How old to be voting 2. Ocean to the west 3. why 13 stripes on the flag 4. Name of the Anthem 5. how many amendments 6. When do we vote for President.

English read - Who is George Washington English Write - Washington is the first president.

Then he asked me regarding my arrest record which happened in September 2013. This was a DUI related arrest and later on I pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless operation of motor vehicle. I gave him the certified court disposition documents and police records. I had answered yes to the arrest and no to the convicted and charged questions in the original application. He changed those "No" to "Yes" and had me sign on the change. 

Then he asked me other yes/no questions and then in the end he asked me if my details are correct such as name, address, date of birth etc. I confirmed and signed once again.

At the end he gave me the paper with "Passed the test" but "Decision cannot be made document" and he verbally said they would need to review the court documents and the arrest record complicates the matter which is otherwise simple. Our conversation lasted until 4.20 pm, so a 35-40 minute in total.

When I came out, my wife was sitting out and text everyone in her friend and family circle to update her own status that she passed and has been put inline for the oath. Both USCIS accounts show the update for her. For me it says "attended interview".

I am not sure what will happen and how long they will take to make a decision and most importantly will they deny my application due to the past arrest.

Any suggestions, recommendations or feedback is appreciated.
