Hello All,

Recently people who have traveled to US after K1 approval did you have any problem while going from India because of a one way ticket? I have heard airlines staff create a problem because of the one way ticket?

Never no problem 👌

Not at all, they do not expect you to have a return ticket booked. If they ask, you can simply explain it is a Fiance visa

Anyone has any experience with hotels near Mumbai consulate other than Sofitel? I was looking into BKC hospitality , seems like 10 mts walk from consulate & Affordable rates too. But as Mumbai is a new city to us not familiar with any of these

Hello,

I am trying to book my K1 visa interview in Mumbai but right now it only shows one day in May---that cannot be accurate. Anyone have any idea if dates are released in any particular pattern? Do you just keep checking?

Thank You

That may be what is available right now. @vjscorp said that May was when the first interview was available. When I was booking mine, it also only showed one date that was available. Maybe try writing the consulate to see if there is anything earlier.

Hey! What stage are you at? Can you fill me in on the timeline? Because i have been checking everyday to see if new slots for April have opened up and still nothing. I check every day in the morning and evening since 3.21.19. I e-mailed and called Consulate and they stated they might open them up, but can't guarantee. Also they stated the visa fee that you paid allows you to change your appointment up to 5 times. Also you can only check the availability 3 times only per day. i requested for an earlier time, but they told me no slots were open. Most people here have took the last spot i saw was April 5th after that i haven't seen any one with April interview date. @Akipog thanks for tagging me in this post. how do i bookmark it?

My case status is ready and I am done with the medical and biometric so just waiting to be done with the interview asap. I did both the medical and biometric at Chennai. The part about checking availability 3 times a day is not accurate-it does lock you out at some point but certainly not at 3 attempts since I login more than that to check.

Good luck to everyone. This virtual community keeps me sane :)

How did you do the medical already? I thought you could only do medical 1-2 weeks before your actual interview? Is your interview date May 9th temporarily?

There is no such requirement, you can do the medical as soon as you have the "appointment letter" from NVC, basically telling you that the case is forwarded to the local consulate.

I have May 9th until something opens up earlier.

Awesome! If you see any dates earlier, would you please reply to the message? and i will also do the same. We are in the same situation trying to get earlier interview date. Makes no sense that they would not have any April dates available after April 5th. (April 5th - i saw at least 4 people from here have that interview date)
