Hey everyone! I was notified of my petition approval BY MAIL.

It was approved January 10, 2018.

The USCIS website still just states "Case was received"

I called the NVC last week to see if they had received the case yet, and they had not.

I'm wondering if anyone know why I have not received a text message or e-mail about the petition approval? I signed up for e-notifications. Why is the website not updated to show that the CR-1 Petition was approved?

The website is pretty slow on updating I-130 status. You've got the approval mail, so that means your petition has been approved. start calling NVC after 2 weeks or so, make sure they have received your case.

Double check all the information on your NOA2.  Make sure the case number is correct.  If so, then just call it a day.  There was once a guy here whose csse still said "recieved" for his I-129F after his wife had obtained citizenship.   The online system is not the most reliable.

they are all slow to update

so, now you have the CSBxxxxxx case number and need to go to CEAC for case updates (also slow to update)

USCIS no longer has your case information

You should soon get a notice from NVC telling you to pay 2 fees (for the I 864 and DS 260) online payment

when they are marked paid you will fill out  the 2 forms online (don't leave anything blank / it if N/A is not applicable to you)

NVC will also tell you any additional documents needed with a bar code letter

2 criminal investigations reports on Morocco citzen needed at that time with English translations

fiche anthropometrique and extrait du casier judiciaire

chrono post will get them here in about 4 days (was $35 in 2015)

send all documents in at the same time witht the bar code sheet marking all in the uppper right hand corner with your case number, both names and both DOB's

do not staple)

do not use binders

do not use paper clips

incha yekbel u will succeed

message me personal if you have any questions

i can give you my whatsapp

Jeanne
