Hey everyone! If I have sent certified copies of my marriage certificate with the application, do I still need to bring another one to the green card interview? It says in the interview notice letter to bring one. I sent two copies (original i.e. certified) with my application and I thought I had another one but just realized that I don't. It's just that I just moved across the country after getting married and I won't be able to get one in time for my interview next week (!!!) and I'm freaking out.

Based on the information given to me, you need all the originals and a copy of every original at the interview so that you can give them a copy if they ask for it (to avoid giving them your original). There was no need to mail them an original certified copy. You may have to ask someone to FedEx you an original (with an original signature or certification). Someone might be able to get it for you from your county office and overnight it to you.

Hello Guys,

Day 101, and day 55 after they received the response to my RFIE, I called this morning and raised a SR for my EAD, I should receive a response in 15 days. As expected they told me I am still within processing times and that EAD take up to 5 months now.

Not putting too much hope it, but I still wanted to do it, at least I know I tried all options possible.

Going back to watch TV, lol. May God bless us all with patience.

Last time I called, the tier 2 officer suggest I should wait until 120 days to raise the request... saying now the timeline is 120-180 days. I guess for us who responded to RFIE, they have the excuse for cases being "reset?" Sigh...

No problem. It seems both our cases were delayed 13 days due to RFIE, so I would wait until 90+13 days to raise my first then. And 120+13 for the second one if hear nothing back.

Our office is supposed to be pretty fast but you never know. It surely does not seem that way but who knows. Although, everyone I have met here said that it never took more than 3-4 months for I-485 or N-400.
