Checked my wife’s AoS status tonight. She had her interview Friday, but this morning it was still just showing that the interview was scheduled. Well, now it’s showing that her card is being produced! :D

Congrats! Our interview was yesterday morning. Keep checking my status, thinking I’m leaving it a long time between checks, literally a few minutes have passed lol.

I have incoming gc interview this month, I had my medical last Sept.2017.  Do I need to re do my medical? I’m currently adjusting from k1. Thank you!

If you didn’t receive no courtesy letter from USCIS to bring one to your interview then you may not need it because you did one during your K1 Visa process. I’m also on K1 but mine was valid for 6 months until the date my visa expired. I suggest you do one to be on a safe side.

What does courtesy letter looks like?

USCIS would notify you they cannot finish adjudication on your case because of the medical deficiency and would advise you to do a medical examination with a sealed Form I-693 and bring during your interview that would be scheduled at a later date.

If I remember well, medicals are valid for 1 year so you should be good to go. I wouldnt do one unless you are issued an RFE for it, because this is a good $300 to get a new one.

EDIT: Did you receive a colored courtesy letter after filing? If not you should be okay. I have read plenty cases where the medicals were expired and they were totally fine

That’s also what I’m thinking that’s it’s good for a year, I just want a clarification coz I don’t want rfe on the day of my interview. Thank you! You think they will still issue me a combo card?

I doubt they will issue you a combo card because you skipped that stage, hopefully you will be approved on the spot or a few days after.

The courtesy letter comes on colored paper but it definitely not a RFE, it tells you that I-693 was missing from your package and you will need to either bring it to your interview or mail it as instructed by USCIS, But like I said since you didnt receive it AND yours was done just in September 2017 you should be good.

Like I said before most medical examinations for K1 visas are only as good as the duration of the visa like mine. So I did one again when filing because the first one I did expired in March a day before my visa expired. But if yours Isn’t valid only for six months  then you don’t need to do one again.

I had my medical July 2017 and interview was yesterday and was fine. On my medical it says 6 months but the rules on the USCIS website state 1 year so you don’t need a new medical unless you are missing anything, such as required vaccinations. If on your vaccination copy it is signed as “complete” at the bottom you are good to go. There’s actually a link on here somewhere to the USCIS rules regarding medicals. I took a copy of that with me just in case but it wasn’t necessary.

I checked my DS3025, my medical and required vaccinations are checked complete. Thank you! Can you send me a link of the uscis rules?

Hey guys, I have a quick question. Maybe somebody came across this problem. We got an RFE for green card application because of taxes of my husband for the last year. (we didn’t have enough salary in one of the forms cause he worked a few months and changed his job)

so the question is joint sponsor files taxes with her husband. What to do?

we have got an rfe and need a co sponsor now. My mother in law agreed to be one for us but the thing is she files her taxes with her husband. Will her husband be a co sponsor now too? Does he have to fill out any forms and what form would my mother in law fill out now? Thank you for respond
