I-751 February 2018 Filers

We will be submitting our I-751 on February 2, 2018, and wanted to start a thread for fellow February filers.  Wishing everyone a happy 2018 and good luck on your journey.

We will also be a Feb 2018 Filer. I started gathering documents. Next week I will be off and I will be dedicating in getting everything done, at least 90% of it.

Am filing the removal by Feb too, Can we review documents we submitting  and will it be advisable to wait a bit to put 2017 tax transcript statement to the supporting documents because am not sure when the IRS will be able to get the print out or just the regular form 1040 use in filing it will suffice.

Sure, demmyrulz.  I too am waiting for my 2017 W-2 info so I can file a joint return and have 2 years of joint returns to submit with the package.  I think I have most of the other stuff all compiled.

Wow, started one so soon lol but I'm jumping in. Excited for step 3 or 4 on our journey to citizenship. Will be submitting ours as soon as I get 2017 taxes done which won't be until the first or second week in Feb unless people get on the ball and get me those W2 forms. Trying to avoid foreseeable RFEs.

 

Then we can start house buying process, which is also on hold until 2017 taxes are filed

 

Question: For photos I currently have them arranged on a word document with labels. Is anyone else doing this? Or perhaps I should print them out? What do you all think?

Copies of his passport bio page and green card (front and back)

Copy of his social security card

Copy of our marriage certificate

Copy of apartment leases and statement from property manager verifying our residence (we didn't sign a lease for 2017 and are currently month to month)

Copy of the tax statements filed jointly for 2016 and 2017

Copies of car titles (has both our names)

Copy of car insurance policies spanning marriage

Copies of joint credit cards and statements

Copies of joint bank account signature cards and statements spanning marriage

Copies of our health and dental insurance cards

Copy of my 401k benefit plan info with him as a listed beneficiary

Copy of my employer -provided life insurance policy info with him as a beneficiary

Copies of internet and electric bills (has both our names)

Copy of a 2 year gym membership contract

Various labeled photos spanning our marriage

Copies of plane tickets and corresponding passport stamps, when applicable, showing trips made together

Hi YecaCruz,  I have the documents as you and am waiting for my 2017 W-2's, if I have them in time, great, if not, oh well.  Do you know if the fees for the I-751($595) and biometrics ($85) can both be in one $680 money order, or two separate?

 It can be either or, as people have done it both ways.  I honestly use a personal check so I can see when they cash it. As long as the two checks are together and they don't loose one, you should be good. It would be easier to put it all on one check though.

I will be submitting my roc package in February as well, but I waiting to file taxes for 2017 to have 3 years, and hopefully avoid an RFE later on.

I was hoping to have my 2017 tax returns to submit but I haven't received my W-2's yet and I have to send out my package this Thursday.  That's the way it goes.  If they send me an RFE, I'm sure I'll have it by that time.  Good luck everyone.
