My date was 12/29/17 but didn't get it sent until 1/2/18 due to the holidays, it was received 1/3/18 and signed for. I sent pretty much everything listed in others, I also sent transactions from a go fund me page that was setup by my sister in-law for my wife as she battled stage 4 NH lymphoma the whole of 2017, that shows hundreds of posts from friends and family members on both sides, I was hesitant to use that as it feels bad but my wife said why the hell not.

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe it's been two years either! The greencard expires 04/08/2018 - so getting ready to mail in our packet on 01/09/2018. So far we put together:

 

-i751

-Check

-Copy of passport pages

-Copy of greencard front and back

-Copy of both driver's licenses showing same address

-Joint - Checking account statement

-Joint - Savings account statement

-Copy of actual credit cards showing same account number

-Document showing spouse is under other spouse's insurance

-Lease contract from 1st apartment

-Closing paperwork for house purchased together

-Mortgage statements being mailed to the house

-Verizon bill showing both accounts are together

-Car insurance showing coverage for both of us as drivers

-House insurance showing coverage for both of us 

-HOA Bills to both of us

-Internet bill in his name (same address)

-Energy bill in my name (same address)

-Plane tickets for trips

-Orbitz bookings for vacations

-Copy of Certified Marriage License (just in case)

-Copy of taxes filed together for the previous year

-Holiday cards that were mailed to us

-Affidavits from friends/family (3) 

-Pictures

 

Any other suggestions would be great before we get it all mailed in. Do you guys mail the documents so that the receiver needs to sign?

Plenty of evidence, I wouldn't worry. And no, I sent via USPS Priority mail - my stack of papers nicely fit in one of the boxes.

Everybody so organized here. I mailed my letter yesterday, with only 30 days left to go - when I saw that there is no chance anyway to get the new green card before the old one expires, it took some of my motivation away.

And it seems we have less documentation than everybody else - now I have months to fret about that.

 

I seem to remember they don't want you to send the package in a way that they have to sign for it, but unfortunately, I cannot remember where I saw that.

I started to gather all the documents needed for my ROC, my green card will expire 4/6/18.

 

do I need to put $680 in one check or I need to break it down and put them in separate ( I-751 - $595, $85 for biometrics)

So since my Permanent Residence Card expires on 05/02/2018 - and it seems like the I-751 filing/application takes a longer time - what happens to my ability to work? Will I get an extension on my Permanent Residence Card or how does that work?

Hey everyone... technically my window opened in late December but the Christmas period has been so busy, I'm only at the stage now where I've collated everything I possibly could and am nearly ready to send!

 

I have asked this question in another thread, but as this one seems busy, what are everyone's thoughts on submitting (or not submitting) EVERY page of EVERY bank statement/insurance disclosure document/health insurance statement/401k statement - I was thinking of removing irrelevant/repetitive pages and noting I had done so in my cover letter.

 

Has anyone had experience with sending portions of statements?

You will get what I think is called an extension letter.

 

"Work Permit

As a permanent resident, you should have received a green card. This card will continue to prove that you have a right to live and work in the United States permanently. If you file Form I-751 on time, we will extend your conditional resident status until a decision has been made on your application. You will be sent a notice reflecting this."

I've read the some people get RFE's for the missing pages if each page is "x page of x", so like "Page 1 of 5", and only two or three pages are sent, but others have also only included only the relevant pages and gotten no RFE. So like all things I assume it's all dependent on the discretion of the IO with your paperwork.

Personally, since the last two pages of all of my statements are the same ads and policy fine print for the bank, I'm going to include it once with an explanation of the omissions and hope that's good enough. I can't say if that's a good idea or not... but it's what I decided to do.

Hi everyone.. I’m finally almost done with my roc package but I have doubts about the form.. in filling it up in our laptop and I can’t type our apartment number in it.. should I use ink on the spaces where I can’t type? Also, in the spaces that don’t apply to us, can I write N/A ? Thank you !

I had the same issue with electronically filing some parts of the NOA, so I printed what I could and filled the rest with a pen.

 

I wrote "none" in the stuff that didn't apply (such as children, interpreter, attorney...).

Pretty much everything that I have submitted, I added in car title deed with both names on it, tax transcripts, some shopping receipts that was mailed to our addresses in both names, pictures of some packages (outside that shows addressee) from my family that was sent to our address.

My bank statements stack are quite huge, even removing ads and policy. I think it should be fine. I sent in every month's.

I've removed the ads and policy pages for bills too. Its still a big chunk lol.

If you're using USPS, I suggest you to use FLAT RATE boxes, its a flat fee. Mine costs $18.85 excluding recipient receipt and Certified Mail which are optional and cost around 4 dollars.

Here's how I organized mine: Did CookieCat's method 

 

I used 4 fasteners, the black binder clips are ONE account bank statement stack. The stickers are signed document pages. Make sure you only punch holes on the blank areas of the forms. I placed the check in a plastic pocket holder at the top pages right behind contents page.

Every new fastener stack, I included my name and spouse's name on the cover, in case the stack goes missing or throw around lol
