Let us know what they say! 12 more minutes until the line opens:o

I'm literally sitting here waiting for 7am to call!! But we haven't passed the 6 week mark so I don't know if they will have ours yet...

Nope, NVC doesn't have ours yet... I don't know if I'll call again tonight or wait until tomorrow

Day 40 for us and still nothing. Just called. So that'll be 6 weeks on Thursday.

I printed and filled out a congressional inquiry, but idk if I need to wait until Thursday to file it or not. I don't think they will have it by Thursday anyway... so I just want to go ahead and file it, but I'm worried they might push back since "it hasn't been 6 weeks yet"

May I ask, where does it say you must wait 6 weeks?

I don’t have my hard copy. Is that I do on the back or something

What is the average time for RFE's being approved? We had our additional evidence received on 21 November but still nothing!

Losing my mind with all this. Seriously should have just got married and done it the other way. At least then my fiancee could have got a visa here easily and stayed with me.

1-3 weeks after response time is the average but all RFEs are different so some take more than others. What did they ask you for?

Ours was circumstance of meeting and evidence of meeting and approval came through 20 days after response received even though on the approval notice it's actually about 15 days.

They asked for evidence we'd already sent and we sent back the exact same stuff only with updated letter and we got approved.

Dear all, NVC finally confirmed that they have received my case from USCIS after 45 days of waiting.

I have also learned that they will still give us a visa interview appointment even though we are covered by the travel ban. Our only hope is that we need to qualify for some type of waiver.

Congrats, finally! I thought K-1 would not be affected by the travel ban though.

You would think so! it was not effected under the bona fide relationship standard, but the the Supreme Court did away with that as well.  With the exception of Student visas, all visas are suspended from Iran indefinitely, unless we can get a waiver. There still is a lot of uncertainty for my Fiancé and I but if there is 1% chance/hope that we can convince an officer to give us a waiver, we have to go for it.

They told me that they have not yet received any guidelines from the state dept. in that regard. They said that its business as usual for now.

I found this a bit odd bc the state dept made public announcement last week the it was going into full effect on december 8th. but I found some stuff online saying that the waiver determination will be made at the time of an interview.
