Still waiting on NOA2 but unsure by what Tier 2 said about my case!!!

Okay so I got my call back from Tier 2 and I don't whether to think or believe that what she said to me was "good news" as she put to me multiple times so I will share what she said as I'm still trying to absorb it myself.....

Okay, she was very pleasant and informed me that she could see that my case didn't need to send a RFE and she even said that she's sorry for all of this because I've done my part and they haven't touched by case at all so she said she put me on a brief hold so she can create and Service Request Ticket......

She comes back from putting me on hold and says that she's that my case/petition is at the Philadelphia Field Office which is a good news because that would mean that it's there to be reviewed and if anything they would be the ones to contact now that the Service Request Ticket she created for me would be going to them. And that I could either have an interview or they could just send my case off to JA Embassy. And that with the Ticket being put in I should hear something by 11/24/17.

So I tell her that I'm confused because my case is a fiancé visa case and my fiancé is still in Jamaica so not sure why my case would be at my field office or why I would need an interview solely by myself. I told her my case is not at the AOS stage yet and if my case was sent to the Philly field office why is it that I didn't receive any notification...she said that all cases get routed to their field offices and that it's internal so that is why I didn't receive any notification. But she kept telling me not to worry because based off of what she sees, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with my case, they just haven't touched it or reviewed it yet. So this Ticket will notifying them to do so.

Now, I feel like I'm sooooooooooooo confused, and nervous and scared and helpless because I don't think what she told me makes sense unless they need to speak with me directly without my fiancé present before making a decision. I don't know what to think or what to do, but my anxiety just shot back up to an all-time high.

Feedback is definitely needed and appreciated because this is far out of my arena

Wow. Not sure what to say. But i will reply so the post wouldn't skink so others can read it too. Before all this process date madness I was at least calm that our turn would be somewhere at the end of February or later, but now who the heck knows...

Hope you can figure it out. Maybe you should try to call and talk to an other agent?

I really don't think all these officers know what they're talking about. Cases aren't no that rerouted to local field offices, that's just not true

I agree with useful89: that doesn't make sense at all.

I really wonder what qualifications one needs to become an immigration officer. It amazes me how many USCIS tier 2 employees don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Okay guys....I got my call back and I have to tell you that whoever that girl was I spoke to earlier at the Tier 2 level needs to be FIRED.....

My case HAS NOT BEEN transferred to the Philly local field office and the Tier 2 rep I spoke with even told me that he could see that my our background checks have recently come back cleared and all is good there. So right now I'm just waiting for an adjudicator to get to my case to approve it. He apologized to me like 100 times because he could hear the horror in my voice after I told him what I was told earlier. He said that he could see that she did put the service ticket in to go to the Philly office but that it's gonna get rejected because my case is not there. He said that the service ticket will not delay or move my case from where it is because it's a K1 visa and it stays at the CSC center.

He did say that they just updated their processing times so at this point I can receive my NOA2 any day now but if I don't receive it by the end of this month that's when I am to call back for to put in an inquiry, although since he doesn't see that I will be getting an RFE that it shouldn't take that long to get my approval.

I tell you.....these last 4-5 hours, I have gotten NOTHING done at work, I've cried by 4 times today, and didn't eat any lunch because I lost my appetite. All because she gave me the incorrect information.

USCIS has no clue what emotional state they put us in with this process. But anyway...here's my update!!!!!

The misinformation line strikes again!

There was this weird period in 2012-2013 in which USCIS attempted to alleviate delays at some of the regional processing centers by sending cases out to the local offices.  It was an unmitigated disaster and I'm glad to hear they aren't doing it again.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
