No, I will not support him and I won't until he stops acting like a complete imbecile. His behavior is being accepted and enabled by most Republicans and they think that is how the President of the United States should act. If he changes his behavior for the good then I'll start thinking about supporting him and not before.

Remember how Republicans spent eight years accusing Bill Clinton of devaluing the office of the President.

Ok, so it’s clear.  Trump won.  He’s our president, like it or not.  Now let’s move on, shall we?

And by move on you would mean what?

We give up what we value and quit fighting for it?

Well, just like when Obama was president, or Bush, or pick your least favorite OTHER president.... Trump is here for a while. Like it or not.  Bashing him, or the office he holds, will do zero good except make you (us) look like children.  Even when Obama was president, you didn’t see me calling him names.  The office alone commands more respect than that.

I agree with a lot of what is said about Trump’s actions.  They are far from diplomatic.  They are rather silly, when it comes to twitter (then again, I think any adult that has a twitter account needs their head examined).  Obama was MUCH more the statesman and public speaker than Trump or Bush.  But he still did a lot of things that were bad for this country, thereby rendering him a not very effective president.  Not trying to turn this into a Trump vs. Obama thread, just saying that there is no reason to be calling him the names I see posted on here.  Respect the office if not the man, even if it’s a tough pill to swallow.  Or don’t.  But at the end of the day, at least here on CEHST, you are doing nothing to harm Trump himself, as he will never even know who you are.  All you are doing is showing your own ignorance/petulance/childishness (choose your word) by calling someone names, who can’t even defend themself.

He’ll either piss off enough people to get replaced, or he will serve another term.  Let’s see how it goes is all I am saying.  Yeah, he’s not a politician, but I think that is a good thing.  It remains to be seen if a billionaire is any better for us. OTWT.

Only if you are one of the ones who seems to feel better by calling the president names other than his own.  I meant in general, as in us/we, referring to anyone who does it.

When you reply to me  with " All you are doing is showing your own ignorance/petulance/childishness "  I assume this is directed at me.

How about “when one...”. Or “if we...”.  If the shoe doesn’t fit you, then no need to try to wear it, my friend.  Sorry if it came across wrong.

better, we can still disagree and not make it personal.

What I hear you saying overall is to down and shut up Trump is president and probably will be for another 7 years.

The problem is that is just what authoritarians want us to adopt,  give up your personal belief system and bow to the centralized power.  That is not going to fly with Americans.

I'm just as American as anyone here, and it's what I had to do for the previous 8 years as out country was being sold out by a president who (apparently) sought to divide us.  We don't always like the sitting president, but it is what it is.  And truthfully,  there exist checks and balances to maintain a certain status quo.  Had there not been, I am sure Obama would have squandered a lot more money than he did, and passed even more illegal executive orders.

I don't understand why certain people believe that criticism of the President is wrong. We all have a right to criticize or call out any actions of a sitting President. We also have a right to demand that the President works for us all, and not just the few privileged people who are able to buy the president's ear. Trump needs to do more to earn the American people's respect. His continued resorting to childish tweets, arguing Nazi scum and the people protesting of said Nazi scum are both the same, haven't exactly done anything to win people over, nor Trump choosing to fill his cabinet with Billionaires, and unqualified jerks has not exactly help him either.

Trump doesn't like checks and balances, he in concert with Republicans in Congress are going to see to it that the supreme court is loaded with partisan Justices when the moment arises.

And a president with a (D) after their name wouldn't do the same ?

Can you be critical of someone without calling them names or mocking them?  Just pretend like the office of the President has a TOS similar to here, and you should do just fine.
