Hi guys! Happy first day of Hanukkah to those who celebrate!

So, I've got my SSN card last Friday - took exactly 1 week after applying.

It says that the card is valid only with DHS authorization. :)

Question - when I'll need to change the last name (after marriage) will the SS number remains the same? They only change last name and reissue new card with updated last name, correct?

Also another good news is the our marriage day is scheduled for December 22nd, 1 pm.

Can't believe in it! So soon already!

Hope everyone is doing fine! Holidays are coming and I wish everyone's the most desirable dreams to come true in the coming year!

We all need more positive emotions after all what we've been through in this process. ;)

Hi there. Your number will remain the same. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! Merry Christmas!

Hello Marchies!

Those who started AOS or working on it - what did you do about vaccination information? My kids and me did get the vaccination form from our medical in Ukraine, and the kids' ones are ticked off as "complete" but mine just says "K1". According to the VJ guide, a USCIS approved doctor should transfer this info into Form I-693. I started calling the local doctors, and I am shocked that they want $200 - 300 per person for that:angry: That sounds so unreasonable...

We just sent our AOS last week! I read if your foreign physical was less than one year, you only need to include a copy of the I-693....good to hear from you! Merry Christmas!!

How long is it looking ? We are applying next week. I'm picking up our marriage certificate today 🙆‍♀️

I went poking around the forum and I was seeing a lot of people still waiting for work authorization after 4-5 months.  I was under the impression they had to issue it within 90 days (unless RFE) so I was surprised to see that. :/

Chris just left for his biometrics appointment so we'll at least be one step closer in all this!

Unfortunately, you do need to send 2 pics with each application.   The good news is that they seem to be going faster with the EAD approvals, so the faster you apply, the faster you will be able to work.  I just got notice I was approved for my EAD/AP on Saturday and according to VJ it was 74 days from my received date.

I actually thought of you today as I was browsing jobs on the city website and they were looking for a librarian. Looks like a fun job but I don't have the qualifications they are looking for.

Ooo this is great to read, thank you.  I hope they are going faster!

Congratulations!!!!    I love the dress!     I know what you mean about NE being cold this time of year.  Actually many years ago I lived in Bellevue NE - It was so cold and snowy - I remember the winters... I also remember the summers - All in all, Omaha is a fun city.

My fiance tried to pick up my passport photos from Walgreens today. They were to be ready yesterday evening but we couldn't make it back. He goes in only to find out that they did not even print them. So we ended up getting them all for the cost of one set 14.99. :D

Feeling very frustrated today. Do we really need to send 2 photos for I-485 2 photos for I765 and 2 photos for I131 thats like another freakin 45 bucks. ARGH I am tired of relying on my husband for money but it is all I can do. He can't go with me to do anything for the AOS process. I have to figure out getting photocopies, going and getting copies of our marriage certificate, my passport pictures all by myself. He either works or he is sick. I feel so alone.

Yeah, that's frustrating indeed, I feel the same...

Whenever you think that you have too many photos to take or papers to copy, remember about me, I have to multiply everything by 3:D The worst thing is the fees, of course.
