Hello, everyone!

 

My green card expires on December 21, 2017. From my understanding, my husband and I would have to file Removal of Condition on or after September 21. However, I haven't received a reminder notice to apply for ROC. Is that normal? Do I have to have the reminder notice before I send my application or I can file without receiving it?

09/22/2017: 90 Day Window Opened

09/29/2017: I-751 Package Mailed to USPS

10/02/2017: I-751 Package Delivered to CSC

10/04/2017: Check Cashed

10/06/2017: NOA1 Received (Dated 10/02/2017)

10/16/2017: Biometrics Letter Received (Dated 10/06/2017)

10/25/2017: Biometrics Appointment at 11:00 am (Took only 15 minutes)

08/17/2018: 18 Months Extension Letter Received (Dated 08/11/2018)

01/03/2019: Transfer Notice to Lee Missouri Received (Dated 12/20/2018)

06/05/2019: Interview conducted but still have to wait for an approval. Case Status Changed to "New Card is Being Produced"

06/06/2019: Case Status Changed to "Case was Approved"

06/06/2019: Approval Notice Received (Dated 06/05/2019)

We never received a reminder notice and I have never heard of one before. You just go ahead and file for ROC on September 21 or a little after that.

Not everyone receives the reminder.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

I haven't received any reminder either but I filed for my ROC. You have to do it too on or before Sept 21.

It is your responsibility to file at the proper time, whether or not you receive the reminder notice. Some people get the notice; some never do. You do not need to send in a copy of the notice with your application or anything like that, so no worries there.

 

Heads up: If you're planning to file at the very beginning of the filing window, always use the date calculator: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/dateCalculator.html

 

The rule is 90 days before, not 3 months before, so according to the calculator, if your card expires Dec 21, the earliest accepted filing date is actually Sept 22, not Sept 21. :)
