Approved! So relieved that it's over. Do I continue to check the status at the CEAC site for visa issuance? Or is it a different website?

CEAC will tell you i think. But when was your scan date? And when was your case complete? Did you get a checklist and which embassy did you go to?

I believe I have that information in my signature. My original NVC-received date was March 10, 2017 (I think that's the scan date?), and I did get a checklist on June 14. I did have the case expedited after the checklist though, so the later part of my case might not be typical. This was through the embassy in Nepal.

What was the reasoning behind your case expedition if you dont mind me asking? I wanna expedite my case too but i feel like they will reject it. My mom had a Adjustment of status done in the United States because she had a valid visa, and the marriage occurred before i was 18 and now im 18 and they are sponsoring me to go to the US. So i wanna try and expedite my case some how

Due to wife's upcoming delivery. I didn't directly request NVC however, but went through a senator and also emailed the embassy explaining our situation. It was the embassy that agreed to expedite the case. I think we were very close to the case complete date after checklist submission anyway. It might depend on the embassy as well, and some luck I guess.

I been trying to contact my senator for help!!! Do you think that because my mom is already in the US with my US citizen little brother and im the only one here left is a valid reason or emotional distress?

Thank you! Yes, we were expedited through NVC due to a medical emergency, so our docs were not revised by NVC at all.

For that reason, we took:

a copy of the i-130

Ds-260

All emails from NVC and embassy

I864 and I864A

All tax documents for 2014-2016 for both me and joint sponsor (CO went through them very carefully!)

All original documents

Proof of domicile for me

G-235 for me

All the letters of support and knowledge of our relationship from family and friends

Photos

Call and chat records

Greeting cards

Financial co-mingling proof

All medical info on my husband

She basically went through each and every single thing apart from I130 and G325 and our letters from family and friends.

Wanted to see all of our photos and looked through them slowly while having my hubby explain in details about them.

She almost gave him the yellow paper, but he saw it was asking about i864a and so handed it to her. This is when she went through each line of joint sponsor's taxes and typed a bunch of info.

It wasn't easy at all. I am so proud of my husband for staying calm and collected.

Good luck to you!

It was not easy at all, and see think the woman we call the tiger (she is very well known in Nairobi for denying people) had every intention of denying my husband. However, because of this amazing community, we had the largest file in the building and everything she asked for, my husband pulled right out.

We learned that EVERY document is as equally important. Please make sure that you have a copy of all the official forms you have filled out. They asked to see all of our NVC paperwork, and skimmed over our I-864A and Tax Returns with a fine toothed comb.

She was very cold, and asked questions that were meant to confuse, but my Gooby got through them all.

Be prepared. Know each other's past in detail! And good luck to you all!!!

We are so overjoyed to be finished with this madness!

Thanks to all of the Visajourney community!

With love and gratitude,

The Goobies

Congratulations!!

I don't really know the answer to that question. But if that's the best reason you have, you can give it a try perhaps? But that's my novice opinion.
