Visa written incorrectly????

Well, instead of wondering here, the best thing to do is to contact the embassy a.s.a.p. I'm surprised that neither you nor USCIS, NVC and the embassy actually noticed the mistake beforehand.

Thank you for your help. My wife just found the RFE from the USCIS that we received last year and it has the Alien number that's written on the visa not the approval notice.

Oh thank goodness! You can relax now :) I just came back from my interview and I've been approved!!!

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

Great flight choice and always a good idea to have travel insurance. Lufthansa is pretty good but when I go to Atlanta, I usually fly with KLM because I'll just need to transit in Amsterdam and then a direct flight to Atlanta. You have a good one and I know your wife is excited to be reunited with you :)

You had your interview the day after ours -- was keeping my fingers crossed for you both! So happy that all has worked out for you. You guys had such a long and treacherous journey, I don't blame you for being concerned about the A number thing. Glad that all has worked out and you can finally rest and relax a bit.

 

This journey can do a number on the nerves! :wacko:

 

Now, focus on packing your bags and loading your phone up with some good music. You will be so excited, hence I do not think that you will be able to sleep much, but listening to music really helps calm the nerves and get some shut eye! :whistle:

 

Congrats + enjoy, you have both earned it! And yes, love does win! :dance:

When I entered the number on the notice of approval and my IV case number into the USCIS website where you pay the immigrant fee, the USCIS website said "ERROR: We could not find the A-Number and/or DOS Case ID you entered."

but when i wrote the Alien number from the visa it worked.

Terrific!  Then all is well.  

 

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

It wasn't crowded. The officer stamp an IR1 GC and told me I should receive my 10 year GC within a few weeks.
