This, the girl who was approached on Instagram by a much older foreign guy when she was underage and who has known him less than a year (their planned wedding is/was before their 1 year mark) and who has spent only 2 weeks in his presence. And yet her only concern is the 70% of OTHER couples who will make their visa harder.

I CAN'T believeeee Karine toooook jungle boy back! I swear I think he has a hoo hoo instead of a yo yo!!  And he'd NEVER EVERRR be able to have a good job/career with a felony on his record no matter what he does to try to achieve it!

Not necessarily. My husband has a felony and spent more time locked up than Paul but he has a good enough job. He certainly hasn't needed to cash in his 401k yet!

I mean you knew she would.  Let's face it, a few months with Paul to get a GC is totally doable.  It'll be easy for her to show why she wants a divorce after she gets a GC because he's a) crazy and b) has previous restraining orders.  So she'll do her time with him, get that GC and then leave him.  Or at least I hope so.  I'd hate if she ends up with him long term....

I really hate to just chalk everything off to 'they just want a green card'... although it does happen on some occasions.  There's lots of reasons people choose the people that they do, or see the things in them that they do.  They think their current life will be better, (but not necessarily bc the greencard),  some ppl have low self esteem and just think they aren't getting any better.  But I don't think in Karine case, she has any bad intentions behind her relationship with Paul.  I think she just picked a shitty person to be with, but I don't think she's sitting at home plotting "I gotta get that GC... I gotta get that GC... "

I agree not all couples are GC hungry.  I think Karine is not necessarily after the GC as much as she is after life in the USA.  I believe that if she gets to the USA, gets divorced, she might stick it out for a while, but will probably move back to Brazil eventually.  She's a homebody and even though she lives in a very rural and poor area, she loves her family and her town.  She wants a better life for her and her family, which she could achieve by sending money back to them.  But she surely needs to learn some English first!!!

Somewhat.  She certainly doesn't stick up for herself as much as Jenny does!!!  I felt bad for Larry because he seemed to be trying to do the right thing, but he really did mess up and he deserved to know that.  Though Jenny straight up leaving and walking away is childish.  Tell him he messed up, let him apologize and make up for it, then learn and move on!

Larry reminds me of a nervous chihuahua that pees on himself every time he gets nervous.  That boy needs some zanax.
