That is so cool! Haha. It is also the same date as my grandparents, hehe. I hope you will get the 10 year GC!

Well.. i got an RFIE update after 190 days... I am so sad and discouraged. Dont know what it is about... Possibly income because my husband was just under  $ 20000 (household of 2) which is why we included 55000 $  of assets(his mutual funds 35000 $ , my 15000 $  transferred from France in US bank, + bank account) all that with a ton of evidence... Which should have been enough to cover the difference even if they didnt consider my assets... We even paid Rapidvisa service to check our package...  : (

Just wanted to say that I get what you're going through, and that not to lose hope. I was pretty devastated when I got the RFIE on my AOS last month... we also paid a lawyer to check our package, though most of what USCIS asked for in the RFIE we had already included in the original. This stuff just isn't possible to control.

Also, this is frustrating but also kind of a blessing in disguise. The RFIE is what's been holding everything up, so the moment they get your RFIE response, you should be able to get your EAD/AP. People on this forum have gotten the EAD/AP approved within a day to 3 weeks of them getting the RFIE response.

For those still waiting, I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to your Senator/Congress folks and the Ombudsman. I wrote a desperate email to both yesterday, and today my card finally is in production. Thanks a ton to @dt101 and @Aviinashh for the tips on what to do.

congrats!! you giving me hope.

Is there any (August,July, or September) filer from DC here? My PD is 8/19, case status is "ready to be scheduled" since NOV 16. I'm getting worried now since others have started getting their interview (at least their schedule ). When do you think I should contact the local office, it has been over 3 months since my last case status. I'm so nervous, I have booked a trip abroad for late may. Anyone have tried their AP card to go abroad for leisure? I came here with B2 visa, I'm so worried with all of this :/

Any news about your RFE, @GoodVibesOnly? @Aviinashh, how long did it take for you to receive the card after the status was "new card in production"?

I wonder if I will get my AP sometime in March or if that's an unrealistic expectation.... :(

am so sorry for the late reply. I received the card within 4-5 days after receiving NOA2 in the mail.

Y'all! I spoke to a tier 2 about 10 days ago. He sent my query to a supervisor - and I haven't received a reply from them either.  Bear in mind that I did 3 service requests earlier that no one had even opened. Now, the supervisor does the same. Can I request to speak to a supervisor on the phone?

From what we have seen and experienced, SR's have been of no use and according to my knowledge I don't think an applicant has spoken to someone superior than a tier 2 officer.

Have you contacted the Ombudsman? I would do that asap. Service requests are pretty useless. I have some unopened ones on my case since Nov last year.
