Haha, I feel like this thread would probably be 10 pages or shorter if it weren't for the occasional "I believe this...", "well, I believe that...", "well, I believe that your belief is offensive...", "well, I also feel like this that and the other is not fair...".

 

Anyway, I generally come here to gain some transparency into what otherwise would have been a black box bureaucratic process. Alas, the mini-feuds do entertain me a little. Either way, as far as I'm concerned, I wish all the patriotic/unpatriotic, paper/online, this/that filers a fast and stressless process.

 

In unrelated matter - woohoo, I got the notification that my interview was scheduled (through both the online filing system, and the regular USCIS website)! Crazy enough, a month ago, the online filing system told me I was 30 days away from having my interview scheduled. And that countdown kept being updated daily until indeed I got my interview scheduled when the clock hit "1 day remaining". I'm sure that for most online filers the time estimate is very rough and unreliable (i.e., especially when is says something like "8 months remaining"). But maybe the last 30 days are indeed more accurate (that, or I got lucky).

 

And, just moments ago while writing this post, the pdf was uploaded, and the interview is scheduled for Dec 20. I'll post the updated timeline momentarily.

Thanks for the info. I´ve been trying the monitoring extensions too they suggest in this thread with no positive results.

I will keep trying, and since I live near San Francisco Filed office I may swing by and try to ask for an appointment with a human

Yup I agree with you. I'm here mostly so I have something to compare to when it comes to timelines etc. It's likely that the day after my oath, I'll never log into this site again! :jest:

 

It's actually kind of weird that your online account actually said 30 days, let alone actually calculate it accurately. I think mine said 11 months when I got my interview notice!

Thank you on the good luck! And, yeah, I definitely had zero expectations on that timeline to be accurate (although it made rough sense based on other NY filers' timelines). And I thought the day-to-day countdown was just a glitch in the system or something. Either way, not complaining.

In unrelated matter - woohoo, I got the notification that my interview was scheduled (through both the online filing system, and the regular USCIS website)! Crazy enough, a month ago, the online filing system told me I was 30 days away from having my interview scheduled. And that countdown kept being updated daily until indeed I got my interview scheduled when the clock hit "1 day remaining". I'm sure that for most online filers the time estimate is very rough and unreliable (i.e., especially when is says something like "8 months remaining"). But maybe the last 30 days are indeed more accurate (that, or I got lucky).

 

And, just moments ago while writing this post, the pdf was uploaded, and the interview is scheduled for Dec 20. I'll post the updated timeline momentarily.

 

Congratulations! I also got my interview scheduled just yesterday for December 20th. The online tool says my case will be completed by March 2019, 16 months from now, but who knows it might be sooner than that. Good luck to us!

Dang. But yeah, if your interview is Dec 20, I don't see how this goes through March 2019, haha. Mine says expected conclusion by Feb 2018.

At the time of submitting the N-400 my wife's I-751 was still pending because the CSC moves slower than molasses in January. Because of this, I was concerned that we'd have to have a dual interview and bring mounds of paperwork with us to prove our relationship at the time of her citizenship interview. However, her letter says nothing about me coming with her. Does that mean it won't be a dual interview? Has anyone here had a dual interview? Do they specifically mention that in the letter if it's needed? I'm assuming so, but just wanted to make sure.
