Statistics do help in predicting  future crimes and patterns. There is a reason when I go to the Philippines I am advised against going to the southern Islands of Mindanao by the state dept. Its because Stats work.

I would automatically presume that anyone not releasing specific information related to criminal physical descriptions are doing so for their political narrative, and not for the safety of everyone else.

so you're saying bart should release and i guess post a list of all crimes committed on bart trains/stations with a corresponding racial breakdown of the perpetrators? as long as it's all inclusive, go for it.

There's a reason social justice isn't a branch of criminal justice. It's because it has nothing to do with fighting and preventing crime. It's actually 100% counterproductive to it, in fact.
