My fiance called USCIS to check if our background check is ready since it's been over one week that we filled a service request, TIER2 will ring back in 2 hours

I called a did a service request with Tier1, I am thinking of waiting until mid of next week to call in and speak with Tier2

Apparently our background check is still pending and they are waiting back from the FBI, but they can't tell us when they sent it to the FBI for background check because that's "internal information only" 

I can't take it anymore, such lack of information, who knows if they have even started our background check! It's been with them for over 7 months, why whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Well at least your getting more info than me. All I get is "we see you have an inquiry in for out of normal processing times, and please wait for 30 days while an officer looks at it" Tier 1 or Tier 2 says same thing. I call them everyday at this point!

Funny is that the background check should take no longer than 15 minutes on their super computers pulling information off of Google, FB, LexisNexis, Credit bureaus etc.  If there is something, then it should be communicated to us else this is all delay tactic or USCIS hiding their own deficiencies.

Credit bureaus and else they dont care but only care  about criminal stuff

In any case, all or a subset (criminal) should complete in the matter of minutes.  If something shows up then that should be available to be discussed with the USC.

You’re on the same day as me, so probably same thing, background pending.

Hey friends, do any of you know if the CEAC website is working? I just got off the phone with an NVC rep ( who was really polite), he gave me my number, but it doesn't appear on the website yet.

We are here stuck with our NOA1s... maybe try one of those NVC threads, someone posted a link not long ago, I think it was called “January NOA2 NVC”
