And like I said---you're not required to bring documentation...just be aware you may be asked about it.

Yeah I'm really not worried about it. I did find the payment receipt though easily enough. Was only $291.

I've considered it actually, changing it from my dad's last name to my mom's maiden name.

Several of us have discovered that the estimated online dates seem to be glitchy and change sometimes back and forth.

For example---my online updates show that I have been scheduled for an interview and an appointment letter will be mailed out with info, yet my estimated completion time still sits at 11 months from now.  Which, if a letter IS actually already mailed, wouldn't be true.

Yea, its all over the place. If theres one thing I've learned during all this immigration #######, it's that you can't ever depend on dates. Too many variables in place. Everything from how busy they are to how the intern processing the documentation had for breakfast on that particular day.

I've heard in the past that USCIS has conducted in-person focus groups for people several months after their oath ceremony --- just to get their feedback on changes, process, difficulties, etc.   A couple of people on VJ have had phone calls from USCIS inviting them to one. Wonder if they still do that?

Actually I wouldn't mind taking part in it---I think it'd be kind of fun to see how policies/requirements might change in the future for others, and be able to tell them a few things that always confused me/irritated me about my own process since getting a GC.  It's good that they do the feedback groups/surveys---it's really the only way they can improve, right?

When you guys uploaded your 2014 -2016 tax  did you have to download every page? Because i have the state and fed tax and it's alot of pages.

I wasn't asked to upload tax returns. Were you?

 

I'd just upload the entire thing in PDF form. Should be a couple MB or so.
