That made news, though.  Wouldn't there be more stories in the news of citizens and average police stopping terrorists?  I mean, I get that Homeland Security have probably averted many instances, but average citizens would likely be more headline newsworthy.

Here is my problem with headlines: the goal of terrorist is : Terror.  I know I will win no points by pointing out the disproportionate attention we give by acknowledging this event or it's signifigance compared to other death or injury.

I have no intention of being naive about the threats but I think as a group it is better that we double down on the living life in spite of these threats. Bravo To Ms Grande taking the stage tonight in the same place her performance was marred by needless death and violence.  That is the best response to death, double down on the living as a way of telling terrorists effu. Jacques has it right : cheers at the Winchester to celebrate the living.

My problem with blaming the media on anything is that the media is mostly going to report what interests people the most.  Free press will result in such.  Are there unfortunate consequences of this?  Yes, but the only thing we can do to stop that is through censorship, and this is something I am not in support of.

We have to come up with solutions despite the media, not at the media.

Agreed. The difference between American reporting and British reporting is very noticeable.

This interview with Putin's favourite congressman, Rohrabacher is interesting ...I say no to censorship...bianna is hawwwt !!

Rohrabacher is such a clown. His position is justified though, because he is in Putin's pocket, so he will compare Putin to Gorbachev and Reagan to Trump.

He must be blowing some major white powder!

That's garbage.

When Ron Paul, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Dennis Kucinich, etc. all ran, the media did insane blitzes against them to try and convince voters not to vote for them, or to mindscrew voters into thinking they stood no chance (every single media outlet including FOX News). They were successful in all but Trump, and someone not slobbering all over the media now can see exactly what their reaction has been, creating controversy out of thin air regarding Trump to try and get a head-start on 2018 and 2020.

The media does not work for the people, they work for themselves and the people they support that give them a leg up on others. The only thing that helps people is themselves.

With regard to Islam, the media only somewhat reports honestly on this because it's without a doubt one of the biggest increases to their ratings. Lately though they've teamed up with politicians and celebrities to make it seem like Muslims are the victims. It's worked well on the left, who think their progressive views and Islam somehow parallel one another. Islamic progressivism or Islamic feminism are the biggest oxymorons if I ever saw them.

And if the govt goes in and rounds up several 1000 radical Muslims with known extremist ties, the MDL will freak out. If they don't and one commits a terrorist act, the MDL will blame the govt.

How about blaming the rhetoric and hate of world wide radical Islam that makes this a top world wife threat

They freak out about Trump having a temporary ban on 7 countries, exaggerating this to a Muslim ban.. which are over 50 countries if it were. I wish it was, though. Clearly more scrutiny of Islam needs to happen. If Muslims don't like that, they should be more resolute to cooperate with authorities when they see other Muslims become radicalized. The leftists that would whine.. well, don't care about their crying. They cry and exaggerate everything they don't like.

British social-media users were quick to remind the world of that courageous spirit in the wake of Saturday's attack.

“Keep Calm and Carry On” — the popular World War II mantra that came to define the city's resolute character — was resurrected online.

In a statement posted on Twitter, London Mayor Sadiq Khan said he was appalled by the “horrific attack” but noted that London “will never be cowed by terrorism.”

A bit hypocritical?

He just sounds like wants a safe space free of Muslims, empathy, and anyone that does not think the same as he does. I'd suggest a private island somewhere, but that's going to cost a lot of moolah.

But I do agree, for not caring... can't stop mentioning it. Very odd.
