So, after waiting over 480 days, we finally got a response from USCIS - they are Requesting Further Evidence, which must be received by mid-December.  This really took us by surprise since our case seems super easy: we've lived together for over 11 years (outside of the US most of the time), and have been married and living together in the US for about 4 years now.  For the initial green card in 2015, they didn't even require us to interview.  We submitted practically everything we had, so not sure what else they need to see.  We do NOT have kids, which I wonder if that is why we got the RFE?  There's not much we can do about that though before December :)

Anyway, how concerned should we be about this RFE?  Obviously our finances have changed a bit in 480 days, so there is a bit more we can submit, but I'm concerned if it's still not enough.

They just want to make sure you are guys still together. Sent them fresh taxes, inshurans, bills on both your names.

So sorry to hear about RFE - it's always frustrating, especially after such a long wait... At the same time it means someone "alive" finally got to your case and it's been touched.

It's been a while since the original submission, so they just want an updated info.

I'd send the same stuff you' ve already nailed iin , just  since June 2017. If you got something else - great, then nclude it as well.

P.S. You are not" required" to have kids for I-751 approval :) so no worries :)

It should not take a long time to hear back after RFE response submission. Just send it as soon as you can.

Good luck to you and hope you have your approval soon!

Believe what you want, but our case was approved because of a service request. I was just trying to help the folks still waiting on a decision

On the site below, you can find what is outside of normal processing time.

For I-751(VSC) - receipt date of June 02, 2017 is outside of normal processing time.

July is still within the normal processing time.

Do you have a case pending with USCIS that is outside the normal processing time? USCIS usually processes cases in the order we receive them. You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case from the processing time table available on our website. For most applications, you can send us an inquiry if your case has been pending longer than the processing time posted on our website.

I guess I can... But I would not do that

Hey man! You still here, how’s the life of a “Non-conditional Lawful Permanent Resident” treating you?  How long for N-400 to be done?

But of course, I'm here to help specially those new in this forum. So far less stress now since i'm now lawful permanent resident of United States of America.

I'm not stressing out myself on N-400 application, I can wait for that in fact I'm actually thinking before to file it after 5 years rules but my spouse told me to do it.

It's been almost 4 months after I filed online and I guess first quarter of 2019 I will get feedback from them. :)
