Let's hope Putin tells Trump to do the right thing.

Not me,. I want to see the US in the Pantheon of great countries not buying this dictate from the United  Nations Globalist masters.  We need to be great like Syria and Nicaragua!

Trump to quit the Paris climate change accord, calling it a "bad deal"

U.S. will pull out of the Paris accord on global warming, President Trump plans to announce, relinquishing the country’s leadership role in the international fight against climate change.

The move will not fully take effect for four years, under the terms of the agreement, but is likely to invite diplomatic and economic retaliation from around the world.

The agreement is a “bad deal” for the U.S., the administration said in talking points distributed to supporters on Capitol Hill. The accord “imposes unrealistic targets on the U.S. for reducing our carbon emissions, while giving countries like China a free pass for years to come,” the talking points said.

Supporters of the agreement, which include many Republican business leaders as well as environmental activists, say just the opposite — that steps to combat global warming would help the U.S. economy by building up new industries, especially solar and wind power.

The agreement, which almost every country in the world has joined, is designed to cut emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in order to keep temperatures from rising by more than 2 degrees Celsius compared with pre-industrial levels. That’s the point at which climate scientists warn the impact of climate change worldwide would be severe.

when you say 'climate scientists' are you also referring to trailer park chemists and practicing phrenologists? i'd really like to have their expertise involved so we can all be sure not to fall for bad deals in the future. speaking of futures, its a shame we can't consult mrs cleo too.

All I can say, it's more urgent than ever to vote this guy out of office in 2020, when we can officially exit the accord.

In the meantime, it will be up to states like California to pick up the slack on reducing carbon emissions.

Am departing presidential councils. Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world.

Another possibility is that the market will ignore the Presidents lame attempts to sabotage progress.

For example: Exxon has made a big bet on moving to Natural gas.  They are not going to dial that back just because of Trump.

Indeed.  It would be fantastic if enough states and companies pursue Paris goals to render Trump's action here worthless.
