That's not really fair because there are the "usual suspects" from both sides active on the forum and those that supported the blocking of the temp ban never offered a solution either.

The subject matter is very sensitive and it will take both sides to solve it.

what would the ban have done to stop any of the recent attacks?

How can anyone answer that?

No one knows just yet if anyone has got through since the ban was blocked in the courts. But if the temp ban had allowed them time to vet one person and stop them killing US citizens it would have been a success.

Of course I acknowledge there is a huge problem with Islam regarding human rights, terrorism, even democracy!

I have NO problem with our K-1/AOS case being examined further due to the fact that my husband is from a country with active terror cells and with a plethora of political problems.

I do have a problem with the fact that people see him as suspect just because of where he is born. And the visa ban scared the out of me because I was worried that after all of the waiting we went through, we would just be left in some sort of limbo, helpless. Especially due to the fact that when the ban was enacted, a clear plan for the future wasn't really outlined.

Though, in reality, there wasn't really ever a risk on a ban on Turkey, as we all know Mr. President does business there and loves the great beacon of democracy that is Erdogan.

I believe I stated there is a problem with radical Islam terrorists when I asked the question. What are realistic solutions?

I did not see that post.

I think extreme vetting for  Visas from high terror countries is a great first step.

I mean the Philippines is a high fraud country and people from there have to undergo a good bit of vetting to just get a tourist visa

Like do you genuinely believe that 100% of people born in the MENA and other muslim countries (Bosnia, Indonesia etc.) are radical and want to spread their faith??

For the most part they just want to live their lives. And there are quite a few who are 100% secular.

How can you have someone undergo extra examination and screening based on where they are born, and not treat them different. Thats illogical

Examine him at the border, examine his criminal record, whatever.

But once he's gone through extra checks, he's here like everyone else and shouldn't be treated like a suspect by other USC.

Very true. There are several countries that have required more vetting for several years. Now it seems that it needs to be even more extensive for some countries.

Only an idiot would think 100% are bad people. However with between 1.5 and 2 billion Muslims in the world and up to 30% expressing radical sentiment or support that is many many millions of Muslims. About 3 in 10. How do we weed them out ?
