Did you opt-in to Informed Delivery too? https://reg.usps.com/preferences

 

If you just signed up, it may take a day or two for data to start coming in (depending on when exactly you signed up).

This is totally cool I had an email this morning, with pictures of today's mail, for all of us here. I've been kidding my husband I have new psychic powers...'today I will get a letter from Canada, and you will get the bill for the car insurance'. You should have seen his face when all of that turned up in the letterbox. I may tell him....and then again...I may spin him a merry dance for a while

So far not worked on packages, but it may in time.

Cool! You likely won't get anything tomorrow since the cutoff time for that is passed (the actual image collection may even be underway by now!). But Thursday is likely, assuming you get image-able mail that day.

You have to go to "my preferences" and activate "informed delivery". Then when you go to "my usps" you can see the dashboards for mail and packages, and choose "package preferences" or "mail preferences". I had the same issue as you guys, after I had done all those steps it still didn't work for like a week or so. It works great now though. I get emails and can also see it all on my usps.

Mine randomly started working after a couple of days. Make sure you did what Scandi said to do and then just wait. You get an email every morning with scanned images of your mail and it's pretty cool. You even have the option to report if the mail never arrived in your mailbox.

How can I verify? It wouldn't let me do it online even though I answered the questions correctly. It also says "have you received a verification code by mail?"

I couldn't be verified either and my local post office had no idea about how any of this works. So I had my husband sign up, he's the USC and that worked perfectly. You only need one account anyway.

but again - we have never had this issue before...

 

The Post Office clerk, who knows our family, said they got new employees, and most likely, those new "girls" didn't indicate my son lives with us, so they sent his USCIS mails back... She also told me that she did something and now they will see we all live at that address.. 

 

So, should I do anything else to prevent this situation in future?.... Maybe, there is a form, on-line, I or my son would need to fill out?...

There will always be substitutes and fill-in people, especially in summer during vacation times. Put both of your names on the mailbox so everyone can see.

Exactly as above. From what I'm told, the couriers treat certain types of mail (i.e. federal government agencies, voting mail, etc.) differently. Normally mail is only routed to an address - not a person. This type of mail has to go to an individual so there needs to be somebody that can recognize that the person lives there - either the mailman/mailwoman knows them there or (preferred) marking the name clearly on the mailbox. As surprising as it sounds, USPS doesn't have a whole lot of info on who lives where so much as mailpiece x goes to building y.
