Your pending I-751 is most likely the reason for this as it needs to be approved before you can become a citizen.  Did they say anything about it at the interview?  I had my oath only 10 days after my interview, and it was scheduled right at interview approval; I was even given the paperwork before I walked out of there.  I’m so sorry I don’t have anything else to offer.  Just hoping that it will resolve itself soon.

I don’t think the DC field office usually does same day oath ceremonies, at least not ‘by default’.  That being said, it never hurts to ask if they have an opening on the same day.  You might just be in luck.

Hi, you mentioned that your oath was scheduled right at the interview, did you ask them for the oath ceremony or it was a "standard" procedure that time?

At the time, that seems to have been standard procedure.  I was going to ask, but before I could, they asked if the date they had for me would work for me, and I just said yes.  They also gave me the paperwork right then and there.

Was approved for N400 today after a very quick interview! I was told the oath would be scheduled within 2 weeks to a month and that I'd get a letter with the date.
