Good morning, and congratulations!

I haven't really even been checking the occasional email notifications I've been receiving over the past few months, but chose to read yours.

Just checked on the app and my interview has also been scheduled for early next month! Joy of joys!

Now to read up on interview experiences in my area and update my wife and I's folder of evidence of our ongoing relationship (sounds weird wording it that way). Thank you for inadvertently having me check on my status.

Good luck to all those still waiting.

I had never heard about an ombudsman, so thanks so much for that! :) I will look into it.

I've never interacted with that particular office but I've heard it's useful, especially for cases well past normal processing time. Good luck!

I stopped checking my emails and updates as well. I just happened to stumble on the app yesterday and there it was “interview scheduled”.

This is a very long and tiring process and I wish for it to be over already. At least our interviews are scheduled.

Congratulations to you and goodluck on your interview.

Please do keep us updated on how your interview goes as yours is 3 days before mine

Anybody that has put a service request that has been answered can tell me if they answered you by mail or just email?

The service request I put in for my EAD/AP combo card they answered via letter and the one for AOS they answered in and email.

Thanks for sharing this. Now I see why NYC applications are taking so long. 26,221 are still pending! More than in any other part of the country!

I took a look at the charts too and those are some insane numbers for only ONE city out of 51 states. Los Angeles field office has like 2000ish approved applications, 200ish denied and 6000ish pending. NYC is more than 4x that!!! 😱

My parents were here in B visas - I filed for my parents in April/May 2017 from Dallas. My dad was asked to get his fingerprints 2-3 times due to its clarity but that was over with pretty soon after since June or July. The online status for both I485 says "Ready to schedule an interview" since Sept 2017 while I130 still says "Case received" on both... Called in last week and had SR submitted because the representative says that National Benefits Center is already working on case submitted in Jul 2017.

Is it abnormal that the 2 forms have such different status? Sorry if this question has been asked.  Thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone,

I haven’t been active on here for a while but wanted to update you guys. We finally received the interview letter for Feb 5 please keep us in your prayers. They have not updated this on the app or website, we just got a letter in the mail after months of waiting.

Please let me know of dos and donts of interviee and any advice on how to be prepared as I am getting nervous since it’s happening soon. I would really appreciate it.

Thank You!

Any Dallas AOS filers for April 2017?

I've had the worst luck so far with this process. My EAD/combo card was approved July 2017 and sent to me- to the wrong address, it was sent back to USCIS Sept 2017. After 3 Infopass appointments, letters to my congressman, and 3 service requests, I still have no EAD/combo card.

At this point waiting for my GC interview is my only hope...

I'm in Austin, so field office is San Antonio. No news since April 4th last year. I filed in late March, processing date March 30th. Status stuck on fingerprints since April 4th. No idea what's going on with my case, or why it's taking so long.

Hey Guys

Don't feel bad, I applied on April 28, 2017, and I am still at fingerprints received. I received my EAD back in August 2017 but nothing ever since. I submitted two SR's and that have been ignored I called talked to a Tier 2 officer and she said they have a huge backlog because of the holidays and that I should keep on waiting.  Every day I wait for the Informed Delivery e-mail from USPS,  hoping to hear something. I know eventually, they will have to process us and what keeps me at peace is knowing that I am not the only one and there are still quite a few people from April waiting.

Blessings to you all and I hope you see updates on your cases too!!!
