Just received my wife's approval notice in the mail yesterday! Turns out, she was approved the day after the interview but our online status never updated. Sigh.

In other news...I just got an update from USPS that her 2-year green card arrives on Tuesday! Hard to believe this 14-month journey (from I-129F to green card) is finally coming to an end.

See you again in 2 years, USCIS! I'm already collecting ROC evidence!

I'm so happy for you! And have been hopeful as we followed you with our interview last Thursday w/ the same Officer in PA. Fingers crossed for the same result! I find I'm back to stalking to online status again..... maybe I don't need to.

For those of you who, like me, wonder why the processing times haven't updated since September 30 - they post all the data every 3 months in a very detailed spreadsheet

https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-form-i-485-application-adjustment-status

If you click the first link, you can see how many applications each field office received, approved, denied, and still has pending. It makes me feel like I know a bit more about the reason it's been so slow for us.

Thanks for sharing this. Now I see why NYC applications are taking so long. 26,221 are still pending! More than in any other part of the country!

I got my approval notice in the mail today. Finally. Took 2 weeks from interview. Now waiting for the green card.

After the looong wait, finally received my green card in the mail. The whole  process from application to greencard in hand took 8months!!

The worst of it was waiting for 2 weeks after interview to find out if I got approved or not.

The best advice I got from here was contacting my congressman. He made things move.

Good luck to all still waiting. See you in less than 2 yrs.

Greetings to all my friends. I just received my interview letter. No update on the USCIS portal just a letter from 12/19/2017. Took 7 days for it to get to me. The interview is scheduled for 01/24/2018 which would make it 303 days from my initial day of filing. The only thing that makes me worry is that my interview letter states "appear for initial interview"! What does it mean would there be more than once? hence initial?

Good luck to all.

My service request was answered today and it said that the local office should send me an interview letter soon. Well that’s what the email said now I’m waiting for the actual letter to arrive to see what’s going on. The status is still at fingerprint fee received though.

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to all April filers who have received updates regarding interview dates or the green card itself. :)

I have not received any updates and didn't receive a response to my SR raised in Oct, so I raised another one today.

However I thought I should stop by and let those of you know, who are still waiting like me and need to use their AP.

I was able to re-enter US smoothly using my AP last week. The officer was friendly, didn't ask a single question from us and politely told us that my husband should wait in baggage claim and that I'd have to go to secondary since they cannot clear APs at their stations. I just had to wait a little and then was handed over my passport and combo card without any questions asked.

In other news, my mother-in-law, who's also an April filer, received her green card today. :D Her online case status is still at "fingerprint fee was received" for some reason. :P

This wait is killing me.

282 days since NOA1 and zero news about my case. Stuck on "fingerprint fee received" since April 4. Put two service requests and none of them was "assigned for processing" which means no response.

I'm starting to freak out that my case may have been lost somewhere along the way. I see lots of other people (some applied after me) that are getting their interview letters or green cards, and I'm still in the dark. I really try to stay calm, and I know other people are on the same boat as me, but some days is just too hard to keep it together.

Have you contacted your member of congress or senator yet? Sounds like you're overdue for some assistance from them. Some folks have also suggested involving the CIS Ombudsman for cases well past the normal/average processing time.

Greeting,

God willing I will have my interview this coming Jan 24, 2018 and I have a question regarding drivers license.

I currently live in the state of Florida but have license from state of New Mexico. I also have my EAD so I can apply for Florida license but will only be given to me for the duration of my EAD validity. On the other hand, my New Mexico license is valid till 2022 so I have been using that all these years.

Do you think I need a Florida license where my interview will be as a form of ID or I can use my EAD as an ID plus my previous state drives license?

Any input is highly appreciated.

I was planning on contacting my senator. I had never heard about an ombudsman, so thanks so much for that! :) I will look into it.

By the way, I have some news about the second service request that I put in December (as first one was never assigned for processing): yesterday, on my case status, they had added a note on the bottom left that my service request had been assigned to an officer for response (finally some news from them!).

Today I log in again and it says that "On January 10, 2018, we sent a response to your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXXXXX" and then after that another note that my inquiry has been "completed".

I have checked my email but I got nothing from USCIS. Does anyone have experience with this? Should I expect a letter in the mail instead of an email?
