Hey,

I don't think that that's the case. I was also rejected the first time around and got my NOA1s 8 days after the package was delivered this time.

I guess it all depends on the case worker who is working on your files, or where your files ended up in the pile. Depending on how long that person takes, you get the NOAs sooner or later. For some people here on VJ, it took 3 weeks.

I would wait another week and then call them.

Thank you! I hope so, too. It's just because I've seen many of you, whose package was delivered on the same day as mine, have already received the texts/emails, so I'm kinda worried. I only have 17 days left before I'm out of status. That's why I need the NOA1 before that in order to be authorized to stay here while the process is pending.

01/09/2011 - Arrived United States

11/15/2012 - Officially dated my husband

11/30/2015 - Got married

03/15/2017 - AOS package sent but got rejected

04/22/2017 - AOS package re-sent

04/24/2017 - AOS package delivered at USCIS, Chicago

05/12/2017 - Text/Email Receipt received (1 text, 1 email) for I-130

05/13/2017 - Received I-797C for I-485/I-765/I-131 in mail (USCIS couldn't find my record for I-130 approval)

05/15/2017 - Check cashed (I-130)

05/19/2017 - Received NOA1 for I-130

05/20/2017 - Resubmitted I-485/I-765/I-131

05/22/2017 - I-485 delivered at Chicago P.O. Box

Hello all! How is everyone? Haven't been here in a while, been very busy with school. In fact, I had my midterm exam today and I only had 1 wrong out of 100 - yay! Anyway, I had my biometrics done today after my midterm, lucky enough it's only 2 blocks away from my school - another yay for that! 😊 The bio itself was so quick probably 5-7 mins and the lady was so nice but the line to check in was a little long. Overall, I had a good experience with them. Now, back to waiting game for combo card and GC. 😊

Congrats on the midterm and completing biometrics!

I have a question though. How are you going to school if you are adjusting from K-1 visa? Are you enrolled as an international student?

I understand the anxiety! I have a great job lined up in August and need the EAD before that. So I hope that 3 months are enough to get it or I might loose this opportunity. I wish both of us a speedy and uncomplicated process!

Sorry to bother you again but I ask because I am also in Boston and I was thinking of going back to school but I thought we had to wait for our EAD at least to be able to enroll and pay in-state fees. Which school and subject, if you don't mind me asking? You can DM me.

Yes, my package was delivered last Monday, 4/24th. Last time, it took me almost one month to know that they had actually rejected my applicatiton, so I don't know how about this time. Is it because they rejected it before, so it will take longer for them to review my application again?

I agree with what @Katrin.TX said, it could be the worker who has your case. Give them another week and then contact them....

Hang in there dont lose hope yet!

I sent my package April 7th,  G-325a I-864 I-485 I-765, G-1145.  Received text and emai April 25 and
cashed my check April 27th.  I received the  I-797 Notice May 1st in the mail plus a letter stating they reject my application of EAD. So they return the application to me.  It was stated that I have sent the wrong fee.  They cashed my check at  $1,225.  I have read that if I am filing together with I-485, EAD is included  So I am confused.  Anybody can help me?

That is strange. What option did you select.  On  your form did you select (C) (9) ?

Resend your EAD application adding a copy of the NOA of your I-485.

Call USCIS and tell them you have a job offer and not having your EAD is causing you severe financial loss. Also you can search the forum for similar cases and more details. Good luck!
