Help with getting a job in the states(Indiana)

Hi all I'm new to this site and I'm looking to make the move to the states to work but I also have a girlfriend in the states who I'm looking to be with also.Ideally I'd like to live and work in indiana.

If anyone can please help I would be eternally grateful many thanks.

Eventually but my issue is I need to get divorced and it's a long complicated process for me,I'd like to come out on a work visa if possible

I'm a fully qualified chef and have 24 years experience and have been in catering management for 13 years

Not good enough for the work visa. There are maaany chefs in the US already.

Well, after your divorce is finalized you and your girl can either pick fiancee or spouse visa and go from there.

 

Do not start those, until your divorce is final.

I don't think you have any other ways to legally stay and work in the USA.

Well I'm prepared to work in any job eg stacking shelfs or factory work not confine myself to the catering business

Doesn't matter, you can't get work visa for stacking shelves or similar jobs.  Every US citizen can do that.

They are not worthless, but US employer needs to show that there is no other US citizen that can do your job. There are many chefs in the US, so I doubt an employer would go through the trouble and expenses with the work visa.  You should read about it first https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/temporary-workers/h-1b-specialty-occupations-dod-cooperative-research-and-development-project-workers-and-fashion-models 

 

There is also a limited number of work visas per year. And its a temporary visa.

Get a divorce first and have your fiancée petition for K-1 visa.
