You start counting the days from the "Received date" on the letters we all received. Like I said, most of us can disregard the priority date issue. It's just another thing people keep saying for some reason.

Hi they received my case on march 10, 2017, did my biometrics April 12, it's been like 70 days passed and got no update.

On my rejection notice for I-485, there was a Received Date and a Receipt Number. If I resubmit, will they give me a new Received Date and Receipt Number? Or it remains the same?

Yes.

New received date and new receipt number.

 

Source: My EAD application got rejected because of missing signature. I got the rejected package back, but when I filed again, they assigned a new receipt number to the application.

Thanks for the info, @mhbrz! I got rejected since they couldn't find the record of my I-130 being accepted (and yes, I had filed them concurrently, and I have no idea why it happened). Do you think they'll process it faster when I resubmit since everything has already been in their system?

Thats so strange, how could they not find record in their system ? Did you not send copy of your I-130 receipt (or approval) notice with the adjustment application for the first time ?

2017-03-07 - Lawyer mailed out the packet to Chicago Lockbox office ----- (I chose this as my DAY 1) 

2017-03-09 - Application packet was delivered to Chicago Lockbox

2017-03-10 - Priority Date for all cases  

2017-03-20 - USCIS cashed the check

2017-03-23 - Received four notices - I-130 / I-485 / I-765 / I-131

2017-03-27 - Received email that they are sending an RFIE notice

2017-03-31 - Lawyer received the RFIE yellow notice 

2017-04-03 - Response to RFIE mailed out today

2017-04-05 - Response to RFIE was delivered to NBC, Lee's Summit, MO 

2017-04-07 - USCIS acknowledged receipt of the reply to RFIE 

2017-04-07 - Received biometric appointment letter in the mail

I just said the truth, @atuegwu. If I could be as half positive as you are, I would feel less stressful in this whole process. FYI, I got the NOA1 in the mail today. I gotta mail the I-485 package out first thing tomorrow morning. I hope there would be no more trouble this time.

Was checking the online status this morning and saw that they updated it yesterday and case is ready for interview :):):)

No update about the work authorization yet but I guess that should follow soon?
