Yep, I came on a K-1 and the status still says fingerprint fee received.

I know that the section you linked is the more appropriate one for me, but there isn't a NY filer thread so I figured I'll join this one even though most of you guys probably came in different visas.

I noticed in your timeline you filed for an expedited EAD.  What is the criteria for doing so?  My fiance is has a job with a start date that's cutting it close to our anticipated EAD arrival date so would love to expedite it if possible.

AOS 2017 (I-130 & I-485 along with EAD/AP)

02-16-2017: Package sent.. the wait begins

02-18-2017: Package received (based on tracking)

03-01-2017: 4 Emails received with case numbers

03-06-2017: NOA's received (4 in total), priority date: 02/21/2017

03-08-2017: RFE received for missing name on Affidavit of Support

03-16-2017: RFE responded (we were away when the RFE was mailed)

03-21-2017: Biometrics appointment

EAD Drama

05-19-2017: EAD still not received.. put in request to expedite due to job offer

05-24-2017: USCIS emailed to wrong email apparently, faxed in additional details as requested

06-07-2017: EAD approved

06-09-2017: EAD card "mailed"

06-12-2017: EAD actually picked up by USPS based on tracking data (from Missouri)

06-13-2017: EAD delivered via Priority Mail (to NYC)

Interview (NYC Field Office)

12-28-2017: Received request for initial interview on 01/30/2018

02-02-2018: Online status changed to "Card Was Mailed to Me"

02-05-2018: USPS Tracking shows card is actually on the way (from KY)!!

ROC 2019 (I-751)

11-04-2019: Package sent.. the wait begins (86 days before expiration)

11-12-2019: Text message received with a EAC (Vermont) case number showing the packet was received on 11/6.. waiting for physical NOA.

09-04-2020: ROC Approved

09-20-2020: New card received (10 years!)

I called them and selected severe financial loss to an individual due to a pending job offer. If your fiance already has a written job offer in hand preferably stating the salary and other benefits, you can certainly try to expedite the EAD

The expedite request could've been approved in a matter of 4 days if I actually got the email, but I never did. I had to end up calling USCIS to get the attention number (or "ATTN:") and the fax number to send my evidence in.

I am doing the paper work on my own. I am somewhat confused. Came here on a b2 in 2013. me and my husband got married in April 2017 though we have been together since 2008. I am so torn btw doing it myself and getting a lawyer, I have started I 130, I 131, I 485, I G325A, I 765, I 864. They are not completed yet. I have a new passport and the old one expired, which passport # do i use? I am from East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Is any petitioner here self employed? If so, what supporting documents u need if any?

for the passport question you should use the new one.. and for the supporting document you need to read the application "instructions" for each application you have that's the only way your going to know what you need. if your not comfortable doing this by yourself then get a professional to help you. because if you make the slightest mistake you can get your application delayed or rejected..
