It's an issue of scale. People were upset with Obama despite the fact that when you compared him to prior Presidents his behaviors weren't out of the ordinary.

 

While Trump hasn't even been President for a month yet, if he continues his current trend he DEFINITELY will be "out of the ordinary" and worthy of critique.

If President Trump did anything illegal, I'm sure the Democrats will get an investigation going toward him. Until then it's a non issue for me.

 

I'm also not putting a lot of energy on comparing him to any other President perk spending, because he hasn't been there long. Just because he is spending that much at the beginning of his presidency does not say much. What if he spend less in the long term, I'd don't want to speculate what his potential tally will be. Even if he does, unless there are illegal activity, not much anyone can do. It's just another ammunition for the next election that will go against him.

I don't recall Obama using his position to enrich himself? You? Any time the president goes anywhere, it costs money. I am not sure why you thought that Obama shouldn't be allowed to visit his family for eight years, but it's okay for Trump to enrich himself at every opportunity.
