What was your reason for travelling last time, when you were denied?

What has changed since then/ how can you show stronger ties to your home country, reasons you will return?

You are trying for a visa to the US for a second time ?   What did you report as a reason on the first one ?  Those reasons are on file. What is the conference for and why do you need to attend in person.  DO you have significant wealth that would cause you to go home  ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Tell the truth

Be prepared to explain how the conference would be beneficial to you and the company.

Attending such conventions is a well known ruse used by Nigerians to vanish into the US or marry someone that willing to jump right in.   A sanitation conference is more legit on the surface  , 2 days seems a bit short ,  you will need to present why you can't attend remotely or merely read the abstracts and what it is that makes you need to return home ( wife, kids, do you own your own compound ? )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yes for the second time. Conference relates much on my recent job activities. I am a solids control waste mgt engineer in oil and gas drilling. My employer is sponsoring it. I was selected to attend it. So all my expenses will be sponsored by my employer too

  1. Have your paperwork in order.
  2. Provide evidence of your strong ties to your home country.
  3. Be honest and respectful.

There's really not anything more to it than that. It won't guarantee success, but that's your best chance. There is no secret, or way to improve your chances beyond that. The US rarely cares why you enter (except extreme cases), but cares why you are compelled to leave it.
