Just announced on news, Trump to sign executive orders tomorrow restricting visas from certain Muslim countries in the Middle East.  Good luck to us all, feels like we are going back in time!

Reuter's has an article confirming this executive order. Here's the pertinent section:

In addition to Syria, Trump's orders are expected to temporarily restrict access to the United States for most refugees. Another order will block visas from being issued to those from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.

Sounds like there will be no visas issued to any citizen of those countries.

It seems to vary from article to article.  Some are saying visas across the board, some are saying "some visas".

 

My money is on heavier vetting, not restricting family visas but on the work and/or refugee end of things.

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
